One of my favorite shows from the mid 1960's. I was an U.N.C.L.E. fan and had a number of things related to the series ( cards, paperback books, puzzles, the U.N.C.L.E. gun , etc,etc). Thank you so much for posting this. Mr.Vaughn , Rest In Peace now ....Closing Channel "D"......

The Man from U.N.C.L.E. was my most favorite TV show as a kid, and there were many kids who liked Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin more than James Bond in the `60s. Mr. Vaughn, you were my hero, rest in peace.

How many shows did they do? Loads. And love how this tribute ends in the full on UNCLE music. Cool and unforgettable. In this day and age we need UNCLE

Very well put together!!! Thank you for posting this! Napoleon and Illya were always good fighters. But after I saw the movie "Our Man Flint" I knew that Napoleon and Illya needed to develop martial skills to the level of Derek Flint!!! So many opponents gave Napoleon and Illya trouble while Derek Flint would have mopped up the floor with them!!! LOL!!!! Thanks again for posting this!!!

Napoleon Solo was a cool agent. He was more the straight man while the women fell over for Illya. They were a great team.

Shari Lewis? So where was lamb chop?
@tronyfree8 жыл бұрын
Thanks Chris for the comment.I'm sure this is a rhetorical question but Shari Lewis did have a successful dual career as a ventriloquist and actor.She fends off the advances of Napoleon Solo in the episode The Off-Broadway Affair (1966). A little research also reveals some surprises.She was an accomplished symphony conductor and she co-wrote the Star Trek (1966) episode, Star Trek: The Lights of Zetar (1969), with her husband Jeremy Tarcher.

A great homage to the great Robert Vaughn. With all due respect to Henry Cavil - Kyle MacLachlan is the only actor who could've reprised the role of Napoleon Solo.

I'd rather watch the dvd's of the episodes than watch another disastrous movie version of the series. No one could play the characters like Robert, David, and Leo.
@lazarionut15794 жыл бұрын
Cooper would have been the perfect Napoleon the two of them are like twins but You have to agree that every movie/ tv series reboot have been nothing but fucking disasters ...

I hated the fact that the show had to go campy , 1960s style.
