Thanks Pat and Yes your telescopes look extremely heavy!! Cute video - kinda reminded me of the old movies 🎥 when you sped it up along with the music 😊

Thank you so much for the update, Pat! I'll be honest, I'm worried a lot about my location and what's worse is not knowing where to go! The storm is so big! Even the shirt didn't help... But nice! Lol Watching closely for the next update!🙏🫶⭐

Yes, there is no where to run. It might be a tad worse in your region versus what I will get here in Savannah, and it will be bad enough as it is here in Savannah. At least my scopes are now safe. Hunker down and be safe.

@@patsweathernature glad those scopes are safe too! Love when you show the images they capture! Wish we were viewing this storm through one instead of our kitchen windows! 👀🫶

@@viviannicole4695 ... ha ha. I hope to resume imaging next week. I collected more data on the Andromeda galaxy the other night. I have 10 and a half hours of data on it now. I need to finish processing it but the "weather" has me occupied at the moment.

Thank you, Luann, for watching my video. I try to use that "KIS" method ... "Keep it Simple". I also like to follow Jack Webbs' advide from the old Dragnet series ... "Just the facts mam, just the facts".

Hey Pat! When you share your next video update, could you cover how the fronts affect a hurricanes trajectory.. especially this one. I thought having that front along the left side would push it more east or at least keep it from turning west. Just trying to understand that weird track as it goes through GA. Thanks! Love your updates!

I will try to add that tidbit of info in an upcoming video. Thanks for the idea.

Thx Pat. Putting up those telescopes will take you much longer. I hope it's cooler when you do.
@patsweathernature3 ай бұрын
Thanks, Tina, Yes, it take way longer to reset the scope. Plus they need to be re-aling with the north celestial pole, which takes about a half hour at times.

Will Tybee possibly be safe Saturday afternoon? Trying not to get my hopes up too much! Thank you for the video❤

Tybee should be safe by late day Friday, and will be also on Saturday

lol 😂 boy you had a time taking those telescopes down. I got all my lettuce out of the way and had awesome salad today after work. I know I supposed to wait until it’s cooler, but they already have a big head on them. Now I’m worried about my peach trees especially last year I had a bad harvest and it took months for me to get rid of the flies around my house. But night storms make me really nervous because you can’t see what’s coming so I know I’m not sleeping Thursday night
@patsweathernature3 ай бұрын
I'm with you, Greg. I don't anticipate getting much sleep Thursday night. When Matthew came through in 2016, by the time the core was just offshore of Tybee, I lost my internet and was no longer able to upload any information, plus the power was out (but I have some large battery banks for reserve power). From there, all the trees were still standing in my neighborhood so I put on my sound machine and went to bed. I was so tired, I slept until around 7 am. Boy was I surprised to see many of my neighbor's trees lying flat on the ground. I never heard a thing.

You used a different model. The NHC showed the storm moving north toward Atlanta, not NE toward SC.
@patsweathernature3 ай бұрын
I had the NHC Cone displayed. The model was to show the size of the storm and the widespread effects. Thank you for watching my video

With the size of this storm growing, I am becoming more concerned about the storm surge. I might rival that of Irma! Thank goodness this storm didn't come last week with the super full moon and king tides. Tides are two feet lower this week than last week.
