im starting to like the trachycarpus wagnerianus more and more first i preferred fortunei over the wagnerianus but i feel like the waggy has its oven great features like how the leaves are super stiff and the fact that its really compact makes it even more prettier

Yes and it's just as hardy as a Fortunei 😉

Nice to see some of your species trachacarpus. I'm slowly getting a collection together myself. So far I have. 4 fortunei, 5 waggis, 1 nova, 1 oriophylis, 1 takil, 1 nanitall, 1 manipur, 1 tesan, 1 marsianus /napal, 1 nanus, 1 princeps hybrid, 1 princeps, 1 latisectus. Reacently missed out on a winsan which I was gutted about. Next year I hope to find a geminisectus and a bigger princeps stone gate. It's a bit of an addiction lol considering I have 30 other palm varietys as well.

Thank you! Yes, we're addicted! Some of them are very hard to find. Winsan is also very nice, grows fast and more compact. Good luck with your collection!

Sounds good hardiness is probably thanks to princeps side of the hybrid!

They sure do thanks no doubt to the nova side of the hybrid. Is it as fast growing as your nova? The only thing that grows quicker is our washingtonia fillibusta, but I'd say it won't be as hardy as the princeps hybrid.

Its comparable with a young fortunei. My other princeps, blue silver, is very slow. 1 leaf a year.

Excellent Trachycarpus collection they all look so happy and healthy! What is the lowest temp you experienced since you planted your new form princeps? We have two but the lowest temp we had was -2oC for a couple of hours since we planted them, so we have no idea how hardy they are in our climate. In 1984 and 2010 we had record lows of -9oC.
