Here's some tips 1. Always export the newest item on the market example right as you unlock steel start to produce it immediately. 2. Export things appropriate to the era Colonial Era: Food, Lumber, Fish World War Era: Steel, Rum, Cigars Cold War Era: Oil, Rum, Cigars Modern Era: Oil, cars, pharmacudics 3. Make sure you max out and fully upgrade all of the raw resources and industry places that are selling well 4. Make sure you pick one faction from each category to stick with my top choices would be Militants and Capitalisms 5. If your about to go on industry spending spree make sure you buy the edict Industrialization. THATS SOME TIPS ON MAINLY MAKING MONEY ON TROPICO THESE ARE TIPS I FOUND WHILE PLAYING THE GAME AND ITS HELPED ME ALOT ON PROGRESSING THROUGH THE GAME

@Martin Zlatanov if you havent enough teamsters, they dont can bring the coal to the steal Mill, before next ship arrive and take the importe coal out of your town. I Look After the output from my buildings. If it is much higher then monthly output, there arent enough teamsters

The first thing todo DO NOT Take the big blue quest so early. ALSO in your first plantation hire the inventor as your manager. That way you can start to research right of the bat.

I think it is the point. As really running a small island nation. There really isn't a manual ready for you to read. It is a Trail by Fire they set this in. As you need to figure it all out on your own. As no one will really tell you. As they either want you to fail or are a tad on the stupid side and only are "Yes Men". It kind of makes sense really. At least to me.

+Jamie Friesen VOC was a privatised organization (commonly considered the first). They could do as they please since they did not answer to crown unlike anyone else(other than pirates). The VOC is the reason the Dutch are still relevant in the world today which is, in my humble opinion, quit the feat seeing as The kingdom of the Netherlands is a mere black dot on the map.

Pirates had to answer to their crown? The VOC didnt have to answer, therefor they could do whatever they wanted/do what their stockholders wanted/make the max amount of money and to accomplish that goal theft and murder and raiding were being used freely. So I do consider them pirates. Just because they were sailing the dutch flag, doesnt mean that they were civilised in any way more then pirates.

just quit a sandbox map after playing ALL DAY because I cant get the roads to sit right in my central town square. Im stuck with a couple of dead end pieces of road, which remain highlighted red for some reason. Waste of a day's playing. Shit game.
