But wouldn't it be easier to fish with a 5/6m Bolognese rod (bolo). and a traditional reel?

@@ArmchairOps No, just personal preferences. With the Bolognese you can fish in any condition, both in terms of water speed, depth and casting distance. It is still little known in your country.

You don't need a bolo rod on our rivers that's why! On a wide deep continental river yes. I find my 13/15ft is enough for the stick float off the rod tip, casting beyond that I use a waggler.

@@RobertoBiagini-n4b I've only been fishing 35 years and mostly on rivers either with waggler or stick float. Again, my 13/15ft match rod caters for most situations, I'm usually hampered by over hanging trees for anything longer.
