I guess that's the end of a dynasty because if they are already mating with the lioness, that means the cubs are dead and we will never see Splitnose, Blondie, Zaza, and his brothers anymore. As far as Tank from the moment that he disappeared was the moment I knew something happened to him whether by humans or male liones I will never know because he's body was Never Found. It was great to have followed a great dynasty but unfortunately either Splitnose ,Blondie, Zaza and his brothers all left together and choose not to fight for their Prides or something else has prevented them to do so!!!! Yes there are times that males will leave their territories without putting up a fight but can you honestly tell me that the Gomondwane Males wouldn't fight for their territory because I don't think they would just hand over their territory freely!!! I agree with you too , There’s been kings who returned a couple years later as they got outa Dodge sensing the shuffling of dynamics and bloodshed , Small possibility but yet one , If a king had new lionesses or ones he’s been all along sneaking off too ? He could venture to a safer area , RedRoad has done this , Being the lone king in a big pride his game was always evolving ! History does provide clues but there’s weird changes about that may mean ya never know ? We wait for answers from your son at this time ! I still say that Blondie and Splitnose gave up on the Vurhami pride and decided to go join Tank at Hippo Pools. There they found Tank killed in Hippo Pools. This is all so hard to keep track of but what males are in charge at Hippo Pools now? If they are the ones who killed Tank then they drove off Splitnose and Blondie so I think in the end you have Split Nose, Blondie and Zaza wandering around like nomads. Which is just plain heartbreaking. The S21's are formidable. The Vurhami lionesses were turned in a heartbeat.

i think there is a difference in confidence between the separate group of lions, also the younger generation can still bide their time grow bigger stronger gain fighting experience and confidence, then they could well return it has happened before elsewhere with other lion dynamics. It's so strange that Gomo brothers didnt fight back...at least not yet.I think they are smart enough to know when to fight.They lost the battle but maeby not the whole war...i want to think so anyway.We can all guess but time will tell who is the king in the Hippopools and Vurhami pride.thanks again for the update my friend and be safe

I wish there was a workaround to save those poor cubs or rather next generation from being killed by new alpha males that takeover prides. At least I'll be happy to adopt them if I'd the infrastructure. But I get it; how can we possibly separate those cubs from its mothers at the right time or prior to takeover. It's really sad for those poor cubs that pay the price 😢. I believe the only workaround here is to balance out pride population so to prempt such territorial conflicts, I. E. relocate to other protected areas where they can thrive not barely survive then not only the cubs but males and females rather the entire pride stays intact!

It happens everyday in the lion world. Same way the Gomondwane trio killed their Shishangeni half-brothers and took over the Hippo Pools pride. In saying that,it would be extremely cool to have the Western boys head back into Shishangeni after such a long time. To have coalitions reunite after such a long time would be nothing short of spectacular. It's happened before with lions,so no reason why it cannot happen again now.

Thought they all would have protected the pride, even zaza n the boys. Maybe they tried. Those two that took over are healthy looking opponents. If Blondie n splitnose with zaza n the boys attacked them they could not win that fight. Fascinating times, thanks

No splitnsone and blonde are enough for the 2 S21 males If Splitnose is actually alive. They might have abandoned the vurhami territory bc way before this happened Splitnose and Blondie have been spending their times with Hippo pools pride more than Vurhami pride!
