Another point of interest, kids, don't ride in people's blindspots. It's quite easy to avoid. If you are driving diagonally to another vehicle, you are in their blindspot. If you are in the slower lane, back off; if you are in the faster lane, overtake or backoff and cancel the overtake. It's not hard and it will save your life. Furthermore, don't challenge vans, trucks or buses, period.

I looked up the Texas lane splitting law because I didn't know. Texas law and Ohio are are the exact same. Here is a C&P of the Current legal Status of lane Splitting(which is the same as Ohio) "There are some circumstances in which a motorcyclist may be allowed to split lanes. In the time it took him to look in his mirror and check his blind spot, you went from being several cars back to right on top of him. Even a careful driver would be likely to miss you. Also, if you hit someone, even if you don't think there was any damage, you stop. You don't just ride off like a fucking tool. Keep riding like this, and you will end up as a red stain and another statistic.

Paying attention goes both ways. Watch almost anyone _here_ and see if you can't see it. If you're the type to shove a couple of earbuds into your skull to help relieve your brain from all the monotonous noise (or quiet), you might also be _stupid!_ So there is that to consider. See how many dimwits you can count who ride in someones blind spot or don't realize how utterly invisible they are to those other dimwits out there who also run into each other! Starting to see a common factor maybe? It's almost hilarious (and probably why most is _us_ watch). It's not like _defensive driving_ were a thing where people would want their eyes -- and ears -- in their most optimum condition of alertness. Nope! Seems stupid people are too good for that.
