Ahhhhh, I'm 70 and still a tool guy. I've actually got 6 of these, somehow over the years I've found one here or there not working, or cheap flea market buys. I'm always putting something together either here at home, or for family or friends. Can't tell you how many times I've loaned one out to someone needing it. Can't tell you how many times I've torn them down to clean or trouble shoot a problem. One thing I lucked out on was picking up at auction a full box of new paslode parts from a hardware store that closed down, parts have been REAL handy! Keep up the GREAT videos!

I very much liked the comment that you may need a new test board for nail gun testing. It gave me a good chuckle.

Just discovered your channel. Great content, thanks. My Dewalt Impact driver had a very jerky trigger (not smooth through the speeds) and after watching your videos I had the knowledge and confidence to take it to bits and repair, with just a clean out of the trigger needed. I might add that you make it all look too easy. You're obviously very well practiced and very good at what you do. Thanks again.

Dean, surely someone takes these off the customer to get the info? What do you do when you fix it, just wait for them to come back? Love these videos, although, you make me want to take apart perfectly working tools just to have a look 😂
@deandohertygreaser10 ай бұрын
They are sometimes dropped at the front door before we open. It will simply sit there until the customer calls for it. It's is normaly a regular customer anyway.

Amazing videos. Keep up the great content. Just curious if the tear drop valve plate (the one you did not take off) is sealed to the unit or not? It appears to have some sort of sealant on it. Cheers

Very interesting! I’ve never seen the insides of one of these before. When you say left in, do you mean people just drop their tools off without you knowing in advance?
@deandohertygreaser10 ай бұрын
Yes, I work for a hardware shop, fixing their customers tools. What ever is dropped in I repair.

Love your videos, I'm quite bit older than you and a thought just popped in my head, how does it cost to service a hammer and what's the price comparison of both the initial cost then servicing and spare parts if they go wrong?

When it's brought in why doesn't the person who takes it in take down the customers contact details and a brief description of the problem?

That knife is the nuts! I’m getting one!
@richard300410 ай бұрын
If using it for work don’t bother. I’m an electrician and bought one, it failed a month later, very tiny tab holds the blades in place and snaps with the slightest pressure so results in blade constantly retracing. The body is too thick at the end so to use as a scraper needs holding more vertical which means the blade can then dig in whatever your scraping, also blades are specific to them and cost more than conventional utility/ Stanley blades. Iv gone back to a Stanley and had no issues.

Great videos, they’re really helpful! Mine still won’t fire though. I have to push it down and press the trigger many times before I hit hear the fan turn on but it still won’t fire (I can smell the gas when I push down and release). I followed and completed this video as well as another of your videos where you replace a fan motor. When I have the chamber off and put the battery in, the fan motor turns on straight away and I can see the spark plug is working at this time when I press the trigger and switch. Could my issue be a motherboard problem? My model number is B20543P Thanks in advanced.
@deandohertygreaser6 ай бұрын
dose the motor fan run continuously or dose it only turn on when the switch is pressed. When the top chamber is removed, put in the battery. press the roller at the back to activate the fan switch, hold and then pull the trigger, you should get a spark. do this several times, you should get a spark each time. if not or if the motor keeps running and will not switch of, it will be the spark unit (spark generator) at fault. If it sparks each time. make sure your gas is in date and the piston is all the way back inside the chamber
