Amazing video! I love this light already. I see you also paid your crew more... and it all went to her fashion budget. (hehe, I love her watch, especially)

After a second or two of consideration, this light only displeases me in the fireplace/flicker mode. Everything else it does quite solid. QUITE solid! Did you test it with the v-mount batteries to see that it actually gained you an hour and a half of use at full power? (also, for those of us who like to film stuff with low light, higher ISO, and wider f-stops; how useful do you consider this light for the budget filmmaker?)

Yes, it was just under 1:30 with an older 150Wh cine battery.

I’ve been using bi-color Dracast & their folding bi-color 1000 for a couple of years and they are holding up really well. There are 2 leds that are stuck on at 100% - that is out of the 7 units I have. I do use them on location for video. For photographing art work I’ve found the large panels the best light source for some very tricky to light art work I’ve had to shoot recently. The art work is a combination of metallic & oil paint scattered across the whole surface. Two Dracast panels lighting, at a certain angle to light the surface (paint) & two 4x8” white panels (shoot through/between) give the most even light scenario of the 4 different light setups I tried. - I gave been photographing gold leaf icons for years (different light source) , many different materials and I never encountered a surface or material that only could be lit properly with this lighting setup.

@@curtisjudd Thank you for reviewing a light I use and have found a really good value for the money. The 3 large bi-color Dracast I have are Kala 2000 . I guess I’ve had them for more than a couple of years now that I think about it.

Can you adjust the green-magenta shift? I’m looking for an affordable fill light for my green screen studio. I think some of the Falcon Eyes have this feature.

@@curtisjudd thanks for the reply I’m leaning towards the $1000 dracast fan-less largest model due to no sound requirement with singers close to light and camera and green screens in enclosed small space Thank you!

Puhhh 600$ I guess the Chinese beleave filmmakers have… no way I still go for my DIY lights including DMX. Spend never more than 100.-$ and for this money I got professional lights from theatre.
