Troubles With The LS430 Continue…

Once again our 2001 Lexus LS430 won't start - and this time when we go to close the hood, no miracle occurs and it just won't shut. Is it time to look for something newer?

Your battery keeps dying because you're not maintaining with a trickle charger. Disconnecting the negative terminal like you did will help it drain slower, but the battery will still drain if you don't take it driving for over a month (that's just how batteries work).

Put in a new battery, don't let it sit for long periods without running it, and close the hood with some authority. These are all minor problems.
