Any advice on an Nae55 with cpu usage that slowly creeps up over a 10 hour period with a cov rcv rate that runs between 450 and 550. After about 10 hours it loses communication.

We had that same issue and discovered two issues. The first was the version that was running and the second issue was that the engine kept looking for devices that didn't exist anymore. Clean up the database for starters, check Trend log times on trending of points also.

I have a metasysy system that is turning off the thermostats in the field by itself for un known reason. They can not be turned back on either from the stat or in the DDC sysytem by changing the mode switch.

Thank you again for your excellent detailed videos! If it's alright that I ask, are you a JCI employee? I am new in the System Tech role and just started taking on projects here in the Northeast. Your videos have been very helpful in my day to day function (along with internal resources). Thank you for that! I wonder if you could make a video on importing a new NCE/NAE and FCB trunk to an existing ADS/ADX database? Locally to the new NCE I have already created a database with all of the FCB, trends, alarms, and devices, etc however have had difficulties in bringing the new device online to the head end "ADX01" / ADS. I do have an SQL mismatch (site uses 11.0 whereas my JCI laptop uses 10.0) but I am not 100% certain that is my issue. I have tried using the Import item function with the files in the standard PC folder location but when you select that in SCT, the file doesn't appear. If you can't make a video, any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

+Joey Fisherman Glad I could help Joey. When you log directly into your NAE or NCE you will need to tell it where to find the ADX server. It will need to be told the IP address of the ADX. I will see about getting a video together with a little more detail. Here is a link to a video where I added one but I didn't get heavily into the NAE configuration for telling it where to find the server. I will get to work on one. Thank you for putting out lots of useful technical video. I just started a new job, at this work place we still have lots of old legacy JCI controllers. There's a NCM 350 need download, but NC download would failed, I tried NC Reload but it also failed and say need to do "FORCE DOWNLOAD". I was wondering if you could guide me how to do the NC force download process. Thank you so much in advance for your time and knowledge.

+4everLao it has been several years since I worked with an ncm. They are a challenge. Try connecting using the serial port. If that doesn't work, you may have a bad device

SCT Hi! We have one device which is giving us a lot of troubles as FCA/FCB are not getting online. The NAE goes ON&OFF from the web automatically and finally get hang up. Can you help us with this?

There are many possibilities for this. Check your network settings. Also see it it is stable when the devices are not connected

Please help! In Metasys, in the NAE, in the N2-1 drop down for the VAVs they are showing a red x on and off throughout the whole list except for three VAVs, which are not working; randomly the rest come on and off line; how do I fix this; if you can see my email can you contact me

Make sure none of them are set to the same address. Check your wiring and make sure you don't have a device going bad and dragging down the network.

You may have too many points on the device. Try removing some. Begin with any trends you may have

The EOL is off in trunk 2. But it looks like it is the end of line.

That can affect network reliability but wasn't the problem in this case.
