My AC isn't blowing cold air, so I checked the compressor and swapped out fuses. Looks like I need a new compressor for the e36. Another project added to the list. Thanks for watching! Check out my boys Evo channel: Benitez Garage

Yeah you're most likely out of freon go but a gauge and a can and charge it. You may have a small leak somewhere. I have a hole in my condenser so and my compressor clutch is bad. 1500 to fix everything

Yo, tell JR that he has to replace the hood cable. That happened to my evo hood and eventually the hood cable broke. Had to change it

Dude .. there is no condenser under the expansion tank .. it's called the compressor :D .. the condenser is behind your grill .Anyway, i will till you how to check your compressor ( if it engages that 90% means you are low in R134 A ) .. just jumper your ac compressor relay ( put a wire to connect both terminals 30 and 87 ) while the car is running, if the compressor engages .. vacuum test the system and then fill it with R134A . I'M NOT A PROFESSIONAL AND NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU MAY CAUSE .

Did you try charging it.

Comprsssor won't kick on if low on freeon. Low freeon level is the cause here. Amazon sells a kit to seal it. Just did my m3

Will give that a try thanks for the input!

Lol ok man we know you don’t know much about a cars AC so I won’t make fun but have you tried a simple Recharge ? Do you own a set of gages to see what the charge is? The are several ways for a cars AC to fail and to compound fail meaning 1 thing leading to another. I my self have a short inside the compressor on my E30 I am going to rebuild rather then replace but I don’t advise this for your car because it’s an r134 system so there is allot of options for you. Mine is an old R12 system I run 152a in and it would cost a lot to switch to 134a

Just replacing the compressor may work but you will need a vacuum pump gages and a few cans of 134a. I would just add some first and see if the compressor kicks on. If it doesn’t then replace it also if it does then you blow a fuse it is probably all jammed up

Just watched the rest lol. DONT switch the compressor try recharging it first. Save u a lot of money. I had the same problem with my e36 but like I said there is a hole in my condesnor so it's fucked and my bearing is bad in compressor but charge it up and I guarantee that'll fix it
@AlexMK77 жыл бұрын
Definitely don't want to spend that much considering I have a lot of other projects that need to be done on the car. I'll get the kit and try the recharge for sure!

Have you tried recharging the freon? On mine it didn't have any freon so it wouldn't let it spin
@AlexMK77 жыл бұрын
I haven't recharged it yet, will definitely do that. Thanks for the tip!
