Great teaching moment. I’m still new in the industry.. going two years. My boss drills in us, learn the sequence of operations of all ice machines…learn learn learn it…very intimidating as we’ve all started out. Not wanting to make a wrong guess, but, it’s how we learn.
@IceMachine411Ай бұрын
I use to think the sequence of operations was dumb but learned pretty quickly how important it is. Just having a good idea of what it’s supposed to do will help out tremendously.

Love these type of videos man! I’m about a year into the industry so far and loving it! I mainly do PMs at the moment but I get opportunities to learn and diagnose fairly regularly. Every time I come across a piece of equipment I try to learn something new about it 🫡

That’s a perfect way to start! Really glad you’re enjoying the videos and finding them helpful.

Hello. I have manitowoc under counter ice machine for my coffeehouse and for some reason after about 7 cycles the water turns very hot. I turn it off for about an hour and then it's fine. A week ago it took out the all the ice and pulled the top off and spent 2 hours cleaning it. It seems like something is getting stuck open but I don't know. Any help would be great.
@IceMachine41127 күн бұрын
Sounds like you have a bad hot gas valve. The hot gas valve opens to allow the ice sheet to warm up and fall. Sometimes they get stuck open. If your machine is under warranty Manitowoc will fix it for free. For Manitowoc Technical Support call 800-247-4520

I have the same HPCO delay。I even bypassed the HPCO by directly connecting the high pressure switches, but it still showed the HPCO warning even the pressure was normal. So I bought a new board, after new board installation, it wouldn’t run although no HPCO warning. Water just keeps circulating, but compressor wouldn’t kick on. Do you have any idea what’s wrong with it? Thank you
@calvinthompson5398Ай бұрын
That’s allot of issues. Is it air cooled? Fan must have been running if your pressures were normal. Must have been running to have normal pressures at some point I’d check power voltage to contactor and then all your start components.

Without being in front of the machine or on the phone with a technician it’s hard to determine what is going on with your machine. I’d recommend calling Manitowoc Tech Support. They have a team of experts who are very knowledgeable and can assist you with your problem.

I’d jump the condenser fan switch . Fan Turns on . Then you have a bad switch.
@ghostface4072Ай бұрын
He said in the video fan cycle control was already bypassed / jumped out
@IceMachine411Ай бұрын
That would be a good way to determine if the switch is bad.
