When you're thinking you've "caught too many trout", you're doing something right. You guys sure leveled up the fishing spots since moving there.

Hope to branch out and find other species running as spring moves along. Right now, we’re on a road trip in Fla to hunt turkey, but Michael wanted to come down a few days early and try for his white whale, the EDB. We’ve already put up 10 miles hiking and a full evening road cruising without any luck. We did see some wild turkey last night though. Should have been hunting

That’s a big river to do so good on trout, there must be plenty in there

They stock it heavily over the winter, and it's catch and return lures only until spring. So they have time to spread out. We catch about one out of five brigt orange v pale flesh, so if that's an indication of hold overs as opposed to fresh stocked that have had time to feed up and turn orange in the middle, there's a good chance of some big ones in there somewhere!

River fishing is always interesting. You never know what you are gonna catch. White bass, sauger, walleye, trout, catfish, all types of blackbass, and stuff I didn't know existed. One of my friends caught a fish one time that looked like a dinosaur. We finally figured out, it was a bowfin. Some people call them snakeheads?

Yes it is interesting! Can't wait to see what else we can pull from these rivers here! I've heard people mistake bowfin for snakehead too. Bowfin are actually native to the U.S. They are known as Choupique as well. Snakehead are from Asia, and invasive.

Good action Mike. I made my way to TN this past week. We stayed in Sevierville to do all the touristy stuff. I fished a couple times hoping to get on smallies, but now you got me thinking I should have gone for trout.😂

From what I’ve heard, the trout fishing I. The mountains up that way is right good too. Bass fishing hasn’t picked up real well yet, still early in the year.

😂she was mad about that bass going back. I do think I got her by a bit, we both got our trout, but I got the bass extra this time. But she did catch a horny head chub and a rock bass that didn’t make the cut too
