every time I hear anything by Trout Fishing it takes me back to High School...one of my best memories of school was going to see them with a huge group of my friends my senior year. This is one of my favorites of theirs.

I think my parents have a picture from meeting the band members.. I remember this song, too. It was off of their 'Big Trouble' album my folks put on every night on repeat until I was 6. I'm 20 and was born in 2000. My oldest brother was born in '91, a few months after this album was released, so I'm inclined to think that this was bought for him before he was born and was passed down from him to my older brother (b. 1995) and to me. I can't believe it's been almost 30 years since they released this record. I'm kinda tearing up at the thought of my younger self falling asleep to this song on account of how f*cking old I feel. And it doesn't exactly help that my last surviving grandparent died this past May, but it is what it is, I suppose. __ __ \ ( * ' / ) /

I first heard TFIA as a 4 or 5 year old child and I'm now 18 and I still love listen to their songs, especially this one, when I wake up and when I go to sleep in order to start my day on a cheerful note.

I remember this as a kiddo, I'm 21 now, not exactly an olden, but I love it more now that I'm "grown" than when I was a kiddo, the words are that much more beautiful, just a well done song

Classic TFIA and maybe my favorite. I havent seen these guys lately because they dont come here much. They used to live here and 20 years ago they did more local stuff in small venues. My husband at that time actually got a mention on thier first CD cover. Im glad to see they have done so well. They are the kind of people who deserve it. However, selfishly I wish I could see them as easily as back in the day. Thanks for posting the video.

It's great. I love that song and it is nice to see it done with a flute. I love how you got close up of the actual instrument playing- that was cool. BTW, one teeny thing, the song is called "Lullaby". Very nice video.

Thanks so much for posting this video. I first heard this song in the when my kids were toddlers. My daughter loved listening to it before going to sleep. Now a mere 22 years later, she is a mom, and I am looking forward to playing this song for my grandson. Thanks again and happy holidays!

I randomly wanted to listen to some music and this came up when I searched for something by TFIA. I still listen to some of their music - just not their "kiddie" music. It's been close to 20 years since I first saw Keith and Ezra. Anyone remember Ezra when he had long hair - before it went gray? And the yearly "Troutstock" at King of Prussia "Concerts under the Stars"?

I played this to a class of hip hop fans & most of them thought that it was cool. They gave their hick teacher's music tastes a little more respect for a day or two. I plan to play it to my own children once we have some of our own.

I'm trying to learn the guitar part but I'm having a bit of difficulty after the initial progression (G - D/F# - Em - C). After that, you seem to be going up to the 5th fret and I can't for the life of me duplicate that chord cluster. Is it off-tuned by chance?
