I just wanted to thank you for all the effort you put into the channel. I live in Maine where we have tons of remote ponds, lakes, rivers, and streams that support both native and stocked Brook Trout and landlocked salmon. I've fished almost my whole life at my families camp but almost exclusively for bass. The cold water fish intimidated me for whatever reason. I found your channel at a really dark time in my life for health related reasons. It gave me an escape and made cold water game fish far less intimidating. So this spring I've been fishing for brook trout and with great success. Hiking into remote ponds, and cooking my catch (something that is also new to me) has been hugely rewarding. I've visited some amazing places and had some awesome adventures that I never would have if I hadn't found your channel. so truly, thank you. If you ever come out east to Maine I'd be happy to share some places worth visiting with you.

Insects & worms under a bobber, powerbait off the bottom because it floats. I just like the extra challenge of finding bait 🐛 hope that helps!

So many of my angler friends DO NOT know that trout feel pain and suffer. So they cruely string them up and leave them on the stringer for hours on end to suffer. When I catch them, I dispatch immediately, bonk, bleed out, and THEN string them in the water to keep them fresh OR place them in the cooler.
