Just some friendly advice on stream fishing. Fish are always pointed upstream. When throwing spinners or bait it usually beneficial to throw upstream and retrieve low and fast. Fish miss a lot when tackle is coming up behind them. Food is almost always bouncing along the bottom coming downstream and fish are watching what is coming down towards them. Sometimes it is harder to retrieve than pulling against the current but it is a more natural presentation. Plus you will spook a lot less fish when coming up behind them. I will always work a hole from below then move up and then cast down stream and work it from above. Side to side and against the current are easier from above as you know because of the current resistance. When throwing bait it especially more beneficial and natural to let it come downstream from above. This is way more important when you are fly fishing but not as much when throwing meat and tackle. Your piece of property looks like a little slice of heaven. You are a lucky man. Keep up the good work posting these fun videos! All the best, Rob.

Hi Lief I have had issues with my dog splitting his nails too and the only thing to do is make sure they are clipped/trimmed down regularly. My dog has short nail beds so its easy for me to see when they are getting too long past them and clip them back to the bed. Thanks for all the great videos hope your dog feels better

Love your videos! Glad to see the flint and steel worked out for you this time. I’ve been making fires with flint and steel since I was a kid. One thing I’ve learned is to always carry a small tinder bundle with my flint and steel, and when blowing on my ember I always hold it high and away from my face. That way the smoke doesn’t suffocate you and sometimes the breeze will help with combustion. I hope that helps, If you didn’t already know that tip. Keep up the great work!

Hey Buddy, I don’t know if you’re familiar with this trick, but I learned one way to trip most fish’s predatory eat or kill instinct is to place a little florescent red tab on any spinnerbait, mepps, castking, spoon, etc. If you can’t put a tab on then a small red bead may work. The bright red color may imitate blood or a wounded baitfish or insect. I have literally proved this to myself many times when casting these baits and no action…added the little tab, boom! Began catching fish! Try it! Hope you are enjoying life! Thx so much for the fun vids.
