I really appreciated your style with this one. The romanticization of the simple things going on around you is a strong message. It really shows us how beautiful simple things can be. All you have to do is look and observe. And you don’t need to be filming to do that. I challenge anyone reading this should observe one thing that is part of their daily routine and express gratitude for it. Really take your time to observe what’s going on around you and appreciate it.

@ :59 & 1:16, 2:49, 2:58, and just throughout, even the most mundane thing as a houseplant evokes the most beautiful memories for me. I still have a philodendron that has moved with me through five states, three apartments, a house sharing situation, and now to our fourth home. I don't fare well with pets, but she has chosen to be with me throughout the Long haul. We going on our 48th year together and I believe she likes my company 😌 I'm also loving seeing another prioritizing each moment, esp during the holidays. It's the experiences, not the 'stuff' that make the best memories❤ I love that we've chosen to have holiday hodgepodge/potluck menus. And as much as people have teased me about how long AAA takes to get there, I wouldn't trade not having it for the world. Even w roadside assistance on my insurance, AAA came through quicker after we hit a coyote in the low country & our car was disabled in the middle of Nowhere & WTH Are We!😂 Then listening at 15:49, hearing him say that true success is being able to evoke emotion and gravity when you speak, priceless! Say what you mean w sincere kindness and thought. Becoming more of a lost consideration daily... And one of the best parts (I think) was seeing the home movies and reminiscing about the first ones dad took of me & my brother in our first backyard of Rockaway Beach right behind Beach 59th. Watching my 4yr old self floating and paddling straddled across his arms in the ocean while mom taped it back in '74 is a priceless memory I'll always cherish. Everything was several shades of sepia brown. I'm not sure if this was on purpose, or if that was the only type of film dad had at that time. This is my very first memory of me growing to love the beach and what draws me to take the 4hr summer trek to the coast now that we've relocated inland south. Also LOVE seeing Ally w the On The Road Again bagb@ 26:35. So versatile and sturdy & love the sustainability and story behind it! ~Thank you for sharing w us

I just discovered your channel and I too find your videos outstanding. I have been drawn slowly in and am in awe of the beauty of your life and the poetry of your words. I moved to the rural Michigan county side in my mid-40s' to homestead for a "quieter and slower life." Unfortunately, that quieter/slower life never quite evolved as we found ourselves busier than ever; remodeling the house, building the chicken coop, blacksmithing, fencing in the garden and raising vegetables and maintenance-always maintenance. And, then I ran a homebased business making handmade paper artwork and designing and growing the flowers I needed for my handmade papers. We lived this life for 20 years until we got to old to keep up the pace and out bodies gave out from the hard physical labor. Fortunately, you are still young and full of energy. You have many interests and it is too easy to overfill your life. Be mindful of that is my unasked for advice from one who has been there! PS I love the VW bus-it was always my dream to have one and travel the US in a bus just like that (It never happened, I worked myself through college, then married young and had my children early.)

In this video you took us again to an idyllic place in the most beautiful part of the United States. Why do I like your channel so much? I love America but not the crowded places. The wooded areas give me peace of mind, especially when the golden colors show all their splendor again in the fall. The wide landscape with here and there a hill or mountain where there are many forests attracts me enormously. Life in a small town or village is something that really appeals to me. A house on the edge or somewhere against a forest so that I can walk for hours along streams and through forests. And when winter comes, the cosiness of a fireplace and the snow that gives Christmas a lot of fun. I enjoy watching your channel and hope you show many more beautiful things from America. Friendly greetings from The Netherlands.

Thank you, Kyle. I will watch this again, tonight, with Roger. We woke to a foot of snow here in the San Juans. It has been a long time since we got that much snow in one helping. The drought continues. Getting snow on the ground is needed here. Up higher at WolfCreek the skiers have been at it for weeks. The dynamics of snowpack keep changing. In the Spring we will see if it will all help us fend off fires for another year. We can only hope. Maybe I will walk out of here this year and we can get off the mountain where health and strength are challenged. Change will come. 🌸🐌💙🌙

Kyle:…”Things I love about Ally… her left elbow..” 😂 Ally:…. “Err… Yuh lukin’ fer crunberra?”… 😂 That was flippin’ hilarious!!! Oh my gosh.. I cracked up… I love the spontaneous feel of this video. You were having So much fun, Kyle..it was so clear And when Ally’s dad, ( I think it was her dad) was speaking to the bringing out of people’s emotions, is when an artist is successful.. it brought to mind a quote, I can’t remember who said it, (maybe Maya Angelou?), “People remember how you make them feel..” And what a perfect description for you Kyle and the way we all feel after hanging with you, Ally and the gang every week… I know I feel nostalgic and sentimental, yummy and warm… sometimes, and I’ve said this before, even sad with a longing for something that I may not ever get to experience, that you seem to have had in abundance growing up in the Berkshires with the people of the hills that are so special. That connection… those wonderful friendships from boyhood that are still going strong, colored and shaped by the landscapes and background of the Berkshires.. And to carry this sentiment even further, mirroring what you’ve already observed; that you’ll be watching these films years from now with family and friends. And the feelings will come rushing back with the memories… Thank you again Kyle… ☺️☺️
