I love this, I grew up this way, in a large, natural minded, homeschooling family. We are so blessed to carry the tradition with our own family and grand babies now. We spent the whole of this last summer exploring our own ‘backyard’ and it was the BEST💗 It never felt so good to get away from town, even if it is a little farm town, the ‘zombies’ are literally everywhere lol so great to be reminded of LIFE out where it all starts and ends🥰

By now it's too late for this year, but some fall if you're up for the drive consider the Blue Ridge Parkway in Virginia and N. Carolina. Magnificent scenery and fall colors if you get there at the right time (it varies) plus a national park at each end to explore.

I'm sorry you lost one of your jobs, but the trip looked liked you really needed it and sometimes that is so much better. Glad you now have someone to share your trips with.
