Yes; you'll LOVE some of the battle scenes between the Greek & Trojan armies. (*Fun fact: Centuries after this epic clash took place, a contraceptive company's "Trojan" condoms were named after the Trojan Horse that the Greeks use in the battle-- you'll see! ) :D

And somehow better CGI than 300, and much less gore and much more dignity than those movies as well. And even though it did change a LOT of things from 'The Iliad', it didn't change as much as films like Clash of the Titans or Immortals.

agenttheater5 This movie had very little CGI and was filmed in actual scenic locations! 300 had CGI and Green Screen pretty much all the way through the entire film! And Troy also had Realistic Bloody Gore scenes and 300 definitely had over the top Gore!!!

@@agenttheater5 Because 300 is a stylized movie based on a gravil novel duh, the way the CGI looks like that is because the whole movie is supposed to feel surreal and not super realistic. no rocket science to figure that out. smh

That was a GREAT movie , seeing how a younger generation reacts to troy , Achilles ( pronounced Ah Kill ees ) was totally pissed cause hector killed someone dear to Achilles thinking it was him. Mistaken identity and all ... The back story is brad Pitt was the man during this time jumping from dime to dimepiece . What a GREAT movie on the story of the ty Trojan war I think it was written by homer as a cautionary tale as to what can happen to the badest person when he thinks he's a god he is who the Achilles tendon is named after,that's what did him in ... @@TheEroticGenie this movie was released in the early 2000s when I was younger. Action scenes where there were swords were scary because it seemed so personal. It was just suspenseful for me. Also Achilles seemed like he could come out of the movie and kill me. He was just very intimidating. I was 12 or something when I saw this movie
