Is the built in chemical injector any different from a regular downstream injector kit? Can you pull bleach from the built in injector just like the kit?

You can unless the manufacturer says not to. If they say no bleach then you would be sending bleach thru the pump and will destroy the seals real fast.

I have a 2.5 gpm Troy Bilt. I run pool essentials 10% through it with no problems. The pink 2nd story soap tip barely reaches high gables on a 2 story home. I think I'm gonna get an 18' telescoping pole so I can just use the black soap tip all the time.

I have a 2.5 GPM/2800 psi TroyBilt and I added a downstream injector after seeing your videos. I used it to wash a tall single story Cape Cod and it worked fine except that I had trouble reaching the gable end with a lower roof in front of it on one end of the house. My next pressure washer will have a higher GPM rating.

Dan, I just looked this up today and I can't believe I haven't seen this on my Troybilt. I almost bought a downstream injector kit from Amazon and low and behold, I am already capable of doing it. I just watched a few videos this morning from you and am very thankful for your insights and help. One question I have is on the strength of chlorine mix. Would you still dilute if you put into a siphon tank right on your pressure washer? I have watched your previous videos that talk about a manual sprayer but may have missed where you discuss the strength in a tank for injection. Thank you again for all you do.

Consider using Jomax House Cleaner Mildew Killer. This is the best in MHO. The recipe is on the back of the Jomax container which will also include Clorox and water. 1qt Jomax, 3 qts Clorox and 4 gal of water. Mix all in a 5 gal container. It will solve your cleaning intentions.

The xjet nozzle I got was a nozzle only without an intake port. The Ryobi has a solution tank the DeWalt has a intake port like the one in this video. If you have an xjet with a intake port just try it if it doesn't work just cap the other intake port. Hope this helps

used a 2800psi ryobi at work today - didn't have the convenience of using a turbo nozzle or surface cleaner - made do with the 45 degree tip for heavy cleaning. It worked great, so yes a 3100 is more than enough for a home job. Just a tip - some of the pressure hoses for your sprayer can be prone to bursting. Remember water hammer in your pipes? It happens when you run the faucet full blast and close the valve suddenly. The pressure on the pipes can be 3-5 times the normal load. That happens in your hose when you start spraying and stop at high pressure. This happened a number of times for me - we were using a 3100 rated hose on a 2800 machine. We blew the line three times. Solution? Got a 6000 psi hose. So far we haven't had any trouble.

I run mine wide open. I think it is 10:1 but I don’t know. I don’t worry about it. Avg home uses 3 gallons of 10% as I run it now and no damage to plants and the mix cuts the mildew quick

My daughter has a Troy Bilt 2200 PSI 2.2 washer.. it keeps cutting off every 5 minutes. what can she do to stop this.. she wants to return it ti Lowes for a new one? It is 3 yrs old now.. not that old.

Besides doing the basic maintenance. Aircleaner, spark plug and good gas, there isn't much that can be done. I think tho, the needle and float may have dirt causing the fuel to not keep the bowl full enough and the motor may be sucking the bowl dry faster than the needle will allow the bowl to fill. Good luck! You can always add more bleach later so go thin. Use 50/50 bleach to water in a tank or bucket and see if it cuts the mildew good enough. If not, add more bleach and retry.

Hey dan, what made you decide to do flat rate pricing so cheap? I have talked to people in my area and mentioned about doing like $80 a house and my one friend said there is a guy pressure washing here getting like $300-500 just from a house wash. You could get more then $70-$120 for a house wash don’t you think so?

My question today is, I saw a post of yours on Lawn Care Nut regarding the Toro Super Recycler. Where I live here in Fl, small yards, even very small yards, so a 21", or 22" is all that I need for now. Actually, the way that I came across you is I was searching the mower that i have, which is the TB you use. Have followed you ever since. Somebody else has mentioned in the past about them experiencing a chalky residue. What that is is oxidation. Why it’s happening to you I do not know I’ve never experienced it, it could be a regional thing.

What new companies usually do is they will call established companies and just say, hey look I have a 2000 square-foot concrete driveway about how much do you charge to do a pressure wash on it and see 1what 3 or four companies tell you and that’s how you can get your starting average.

My washer has a solvent tank and it has a notice not to use bleach. I need to use bleach. The tank is plastic and the pickup is down stream. Bleach will not hurt plastic so the only potential problem I see is the brass fitting for the pickup hose. So what I am going to do is use bleach and when I'm done I will disconnect the hose and attach another 1/4" hose and use it to run clean water to rinse out the brass fitting.

Dan, you showed how your pressure/soft wash trailer has taken a beating from the chemicals. On your next trailer you might look into a spray on pickup truck bed liner. my neighbor had one in his 1980 ford. it wore like iron. I think his was called Rhino ??? Like what you do , keep it up!!!

I didnt have enough to be able to afford marketing budget +4 gpm pressure washer,, but I'm going to ad an XJET to my unit and those are supposed to be able to clear 2 story homes. I will be using your bleach mix, already tried it on a couple of 1 story homes and it works great, you need to pattent that and start selling as your own brand! I think that is the thermal port that opens when it gets hot. If it is definitely your siphon port, then you have a stuck ball and need to clean it out

John Nelson if yours is this style of pump, are you using the soap or black tip? If that isn't working unscrew that brass fitting where your suction tube connects to and make sure the spring and bb are freely moving without any binding. Had that issue with mine at one point
