I would love to have the opportunity like Troy did cuz I'm ready to give up in life You can't see myself hanging on anymore every time I try to call somebody for help First thing they ask me is what my insurance is like and when I tell them they just hang up on me it's all about the money it's not about helping and I can't I got hurt a couple years ago that's affecting my life and you know I'm addicted to this stuff and I'm losing everything I have and I can't do that I'm just ready to end it in my life once and for all so I don't hurt the people that I love

@@Medford_magnet_Fisher *Please don’t give up!! ❤️🙏 I know how you feel right now. I lost everything during my 10 years of addiction. I never thought I’d be happy again. I’m not sure what substance you’re struggling with but If you are struggling with opiates, Suboxone is a great choice. With alcohol, I know that Valium is important for their detox as they can die from withdrawal without it. Therapy is really important too but I’m not sure if there are free services in your area. I know there is a couple of hotlines that may be able to direct you in the right place so that you can get the help you need. You are very important and your life matters!!* 🙏

Troy, you nailed it. Mental health and addiction are intertwined. You're always going to be an addict, but if you focus that in the right direction it can be a great thing. Be addicted to working hard, being a good dad and finding healthy ways to make you happy. Keep it up dude.

The drug use masks any issues you may have, puts them right to the back of the mind. When the drug use stops or pauses, the emotions flood, and that is often the trigger to go back to drugs. When the realisation hits, that can be a powerful tool to enter a recovery process. The individual really has to want it, it's no use going for someone else's benefit, it's far more likely to fail. Can be done, many have, and there's bundles and bundles of support available 👍 Sorry that was so long, and you probably knew it anyway 😅

Troy is doing something that about 90 something percent of addicts and alcoholics never do… step into the doors of a treatment center big strides for life!! me myself I have almost 6 years clean from heroin and Xanax and I can tell you right now it is possible for everyone with hard work and surrender to be clean for the rest of their lives God loves you and have an amazing day.

What a wonderful feeling you must have to get Troy in to rehab & help him change his life significantly!! No doubt it was very difficult for him but obviously he feels better for having gotten clean.
