@@nogoogle6349 It’s really hard to get the right size without trying it on. I recommend ordering through Amazon and return the size that doesn’t fit. Or find a LBS that sells them.

Jared made an excellent point in comparing the $100 difference between the two. He said while you might save $100, spending the additional money could in essence save you in the long run in medical bills because the A3 has the additional protection. And that's exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks for this video.

These helmets are some of the few that come in an XL size. I have a 63 cm 24.5in head and was having a hard time finding a helmet that fit. I go the A2 but the buckle is so so. WIth gloves it would likely be difficult to operate. This is a great vid. Thank you

I’m actually using the A1 helmet now and loving that as well. I have a huge head and wear an XL

@@JaredHoff good to hear it. I'm trying to decide on which helmet to get as I wait for my alpine trail e2 to arrive. I just had an A2 delivered but the buckle was small. I was looking at the a3 and love the idea of the magnetic buckle. If you had to choose one which would it be? Im just a rec rider mostly on paved or groomed trials to get started.

Excellent review and I am with you bald brother. You would be great factory tester to help bring comfortable helmets to hairless people everywhere. Think product developers don't realize what a difference having hair makes. Just picked up A3 for my son $124. Thanks for the great head to head review

You got a good price on that A3. These helmets are too expensive, but don’t want to cheap out when it comes to protecting your dome 👍🏻

Good review. I currently own an a2 and consider upgrading. Could you tell if the extra cover of the a3 causes problems when you wear glasses (like Oakley Radar by example)?

I use a larger set of Oakley glasses and don’t have any issues with the fit. You should be good to go 👍🏻

As a bald guy myself - what size are you wearing and how is the fir? I'm interested in the A3 but it says I take a S and I have always taken a M in all my other helmets. Does the extra padding supplied make up the difference if you use it? (A3)

Thanks for the great review! The A2 is now about $70 vs the A3 is $250, which I dont justify paying that much. I prefer the magnet buckle over the clip though. Just dont like the price of the A3 lol

Definitely 👍 sometimes you can find the A3 on sale but only in one specific color or size etc.

That’s definitely the deal I would take. When I made this video the A3 was brand new with no discount.
