3:16-3:30 I know part of that wince is the sheer concentration, but having listened to this song countless times - myself - I can say, with absolute certainty, that it is also the sheer viciousness of that drop groove, post-fill.

Man I can't believe it's been so long since you uploaded last, and then today I decide to lookup meshuggah covers, and you've uploaded this on the same day. Wild how the synchronicity works sometimes.
@righteouswhippingstick2 жыл бұрын
Synchronicities happen to me with such astonishing frequency that it is difficult to process it. I almost take it for granted even though I do see it as more than coincidence. I am talking nearly daily occurences and sometimes 5 to 6 things in a day. These aren't small things either they are very much otherwise random subjects that will come up all of the sudden from 3 different avenues. I mention a word. I pick up a book and read that word on first page of reading. Go somewhere and someone will bring up whatever unusual word out of nowhere. All within 20 minutes. All the time. Im pretty sure there is some kind of leakage happening over a unified web of consciousness where all information is contained and the future is therefore accessible to some degree or something like that.

Im such an admirer of your dedication and skill. So happy you recognize Meshuggah and lend them so much credit with all of the covers you have done. I was a drummer other drummers would make a point to go see when i played out and you are lightyears beyond me. Its nice in life to be considered one of the best at something and still have other people you can be in awe of. I appreciate the time you put into these videos. Thank you.

There could be a whole video on the evolution of Troy's tastes in cymbals. Thick, meaty cymbals in the old days with tons of body and sustain, gradually moving towards crisp cymbals with tons of attack and quick decay

Haake is amazing. But troy plays more beautiful than Haake. I think it's the movement of the arms, don't know.
@jolemite26392 жыл бұрын
I agree with this statement. Troy has a fluidity to his playing that makes everything he plays look effortless. Total confidence in every hit. Dude KNOWS what he's playing measures before he gets there. Guy is a fuckin freak & a master of his craft. Respect from Tampa, Fl.
@shugganize Жыл бұрын
Troy is younger and more fit and plays with a lot of power but Haake plays more economically. It's the same difference between Krimh and Inferno of Behemoth
