Was worried you were gonna dump that bucket of hot water on your bare feet when you were draining the boil! Whew! That was a close one! Thanks for the great tips on doing a boil - something I have yet to try. Have you ever tried grilling crab legs? Just slit the legs on the underside, brush with melted butter and your favorite seasonings while on the grill. Throw some cajun seasoning on the legs, too. Grill em until they've warmed up and your good to go. Lime juice with salt and pepper is great to dip in if you want to try something different. Cheers!

And so what if he drops the paddle...wash it off and stir....the 220 degree water will take care of any problems that y’all are worried about. I watched this Aug '18 and I am back to sharpen up for Aug '19. Delicious to say the least. I will say, watch the salt level, you can always add. one word of advice..... if this is your first time (like me last year) watch out for the time it takes. Did you noticed how "it got dark" Yeah. it takes a little bit of time so make sure you start early enough to account for extra time. I had alot of guests waiting (and pounding beers) for the moment of truth. I was that guy "just a bit more time" This is not a drop in and boil, it takes time and love to check the potato and corn set your butter up etc. This year I am throwing out 4 pressure cooked artichokes for about 10 people and a pony keg. youll need butter and napkins!!!

Mr T Roy, if you want a more salty mix use the Zatarains crab boil mix. (From a Louisiana native). I personally stay away from it because it's too salty for my liking but it might just work for you. Most of us out here also use 6 lemons, 6 oranges or 3 grapefruit, 6 yellow onions, 4 stalks or celery, garlic cloves to you liking, mushrooms, and all of the proteins you used. Anyways, still look good....I can eat seafood every day of the week for life and be fine.

Thanks for the info Joshua. I grew up in Baton Rouge and know quite a few Francois's. I have tried the Zatarains and I'm with you brother, it's pretty darn salty. It is good though!!! LOL

Bloody good video mate. You did the right thing, less salt at the beginning, you can always add more but you can’t take it away. And looking at your dragon, offset smoker and Weber in the background, I think you’re my new best friend.

One of the tragedies of the modern world is that some of the old fashioned “peasant” food is now considered a delicacy by the wealthy and it’s pricing us mere mortals out of good grub. Ox tails and beef cheeks are my favourite cuts of beef but are now hugely expensive. I was bloody brought up on this stuff and now it’s expensive. And I’ll also say lobster used to be prisoners food.

Sugar is what is killing Americans. Dietary related Heart disease #1 killer in America and contrary to popular belief it’s not from this kind of food (among pesticides gmos grain fed beef and dairy confined area feed lots but sugar is #1 problem)
