[Verse 1] I told you something safe Something I've never said before And I, I, I can't keep my hands off you While you lie in the wake Covered all in the night before I'm high, high, high, no one's got me quite like you [Chorus] I want you all to myself Don't leave none for nobody else I am an animal with you No angels could beckon me back And it's hotter than hell where I'm at I am an animal with you [Verse 2] An ode to the boy I love Boy, I'll die to care for you You're mine, mine, mine, tell me to who do I owe that to? And as the days fly by We'll be more than getting through, yeah And in time, time, time, we'll build a home for two [Chorus] I want you all to myself Don't leave none for nobody else I am an animal with you No angels could beckon me back And it's hotter than hell where I'm at I am an animal with you [Bridge] All is right in the meadow When I'm lying next to my fellow Baby, that's you Baby, that's Baby, that's you One way trip like an arrow All laid out like a tarot Baby, that's you Baby, that's Baby, that's you, you-you [Chorus] I want you all to myself Don't leave none for nobody else I am an animal with you No angels could beckon me back And it's hotter than hell where I'm at I am an animal with you I am an animal with you

FACT: troye writes the best love songs
@aced13136 жыл бұрын
I love the structure of the song, it starts with an 80’s sound, with the guitar and echo. Then it transitions into more of a vapor wave/seapunk sound, that continues throughout the song, mixing with the 80’s nostalgia. 3/4 of the way through, during the bridge, it flirts with Frank Ocean’s flavor of seapunkesque R&B. All in all it creates a nostalgic, atmospheric, and slightly dark vibe... somewhat reminiscent of Blue Neighborhood, but definitely different enough to stand on its own. Absolutely my fav so far from this album besides the good side. Love this!🙏🏼💕

I saw someone comparing this to TALK ME DOWN and I can see where the comparison comes from BUT. Troye is clearly so much happier now than when he wrote Blue Neighborhood and I’m so proud of him. This is like a continuation of TALK ME DOWN where he finds love after ultimate heartbreak, which probably happened with Jacob in his real life. 💕

am I the only one who like his other songs in the album more than the singles? my favourites from the album: 1. seventeen 2. what a heavenly way to die 3. lucky strike 4. animal 5. the good side
@invoice999 Жыл бұрын
those are all my favorites too wtf. I agree his singles are a bit too “pop” ig I like his laid back love songs, just gut retching teary eyed ones. Same with “in a dream” some songs I didn’t like, but my favs are “easy, 10/10” and sometimes “I could cry just thinking ab you” Troye is underrated asf even though he was very well known during like 2016

This whole album is absolutely fire. I haven't liked EVERY single song on an album of any modern pop artist in a long time. Troye is seriously precious. SO good.

Honestly I can't wait until I'm old and have kids and will be bumping Troye's music and they'll be oldies and life will be kinder and people will be more open. It just feels so damn refreshing to have artists like Troye and Hayley Kiyoko. Like, any well written love song can suffice, but there's NOTHING like having love written from a queer perspective. I can relate to that DEEP IN MY SOUL. TLDR I'm just gay and in love and so damn happy the world is making room for our voices to be heard. It's only gonna get better and better and I'm here for it!

@@santinaalessia7591 well there's been a lot of speculation, and troye's dad retweeted a tweet from a tracob account saying they're going to make seperate accounts for troye and jacob out of respect because of everything so idk, i still hope they're together 🥺

This song is just perfect. It's such a strong song covered in a slow paced beauty with melodic bass added in transformed into a more powerful ballad. This is a song that should be celebrated for years to come, it's beautiful.
