He was in love, but things went apart. He found new love, and he's sorry for things not going the way he wanted to. He's apologising because he got the good side of the break up, he found new love, and went on tour. While the other person in the break up is the opposite. The wind made him fell to his knees and break down. But the the most heart breaking part is, that we know about their relationship that was never publicly confirmed but we know.

Im a small youtuber and I don't care about the money but getting videos monetized is like this feeling where you can finally make money off of what you love even if it's a dollar it just motivates and inspires me that what if one day I can make a living out of what I'm passionate about and I get to sing and write songs all my life instead of being a doctor or an engineer just like my parents are pressuring me to. I hit 10,000 views 3 months ago and youtube said my channel was still under review and they'll tell me in a week and it stayed that way for 3 months and now youtube says i need 4,000 hours FOUR THOUSAND HOURS i make 4-5 min videos How many videos should that be. This is so frustrating when i found out i felt like crying because it puts into perspective how small i am and how not good enough I may be and it's so sad. It slightly demotivates me and makes me think twice about my life-long held dreams. I don't know why youtube is becoming this sad place

this is such an emotional song and we all can see that this one means a lot to him and that he was on the verge of tears. he is sorry for having the good side of the break up, because he found new love quickly, while "the other boy" got the worst part of it, broke down and suffered for months and months. he is sorry because he couldn't be by his side anymore, because the songs that were made for the boy in BN helped troye get through it during the tour, but did not help the other boy. This song is just so meaningful. a relationship that was never confirmed but that was so important for both of them that ended badly and troye still caring about "the other boy", for the pain that he caused him, because he's been such a big part of his life and it's impossible to stop caring for someone like that. i really hope that they get to "meet in the spring" and I hope that troye gets to say to _him_ that he is proud of him

@michaelafischer6177
@michaelafischer6177 3 жыл бұрын
I know this is something that gets said, but there is a lot of great music still out there. A lot. It never stopped, and I don't think it would make sense for that legacy to have suddenly ended. It's just the digging that gets more exhausting with each year you get older. There's so much to sift through now, and the balance makes it easy to overlook still-abundant creativity. You wont find what you're looking for in most of the charts. As in 98% of them, probably. The commercialisation of the music industry has fundamentally changed. It really is easier to navigate music released before a certain period of time. The way music was disseminated in the past was different, as were the charts and what governed them. And certainly, in terms of rediscovering classics, eventually something is established as worth listening to, making it easier to find and appreciate. I'd also argue that sequential generations sing their lives; that pop music has always been a cultural record. That can be a barrier to cross-generational appeal, but who can fail to understand the grief and guilt and mixed emotions that come with leaving/losing someone you've loved. Some experiences are so universal that we find our very thoughts in a book from another continent written 600 or even 2000 years ago. I can't tell anybody to put in the uphill battle to discover that so much musical creativity still exists (and with so much to say about a world that feels just as challenging to live in these past few decades). It's time and effort and frustration, and that's not how we like to receive music as consumers in general. Music is, after all, usually a form of pleasure. But trying sometimes is worth it, because there's something so immense and good for the soul about connecting with art. It helps to discover something new every once in a while at, because it helps us to grow in a different way than the act of revisiting art. And Troye is a very talented pop artist. I'm younger than you, but I'm older than the majority of Troye's fanbase, and I think I wrote this as a manifesto for myself as much as anything.

I’m 67 & share his opinion. I remember seeing Troye on KZbin when he was .?13-14? & his talent was evident then. I saw his performance on SNL when it was broadcast, & was so happy to see that he had matured into a splendid performer. His first song (My, my, my?) showed great energy & stage presence, but this one surprised me with the emotional depth for such a young man. I wish him great success in life & in music.

I don't know why youtube is becoming this sad place Show less REPLY

MEANING OF THE LYRICS: In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1Troye stated: “This song’s a little rough. It’s basically about a breakup that I went through a while ago. You know, in a breakup, I think just the sheer nature of it, is that someone is going to get it rough. And I happened to be on the good side of things - I got to go on tour, I got to go and see the world, I had this very therapeutic experience of singing songs about that breakup and watching people sing them back to me, and I met someone new fairly soon afterwards. It’s sort of a letter to that person to express apologies and sympathy and if I could change this at all, I would’ve. So I’m hoping that this song, a couple years down the line, is going to serve as a cathartic experience for the both of us to be like, ‘look, this is the way that things happened and whenever we’re ready to move on, let’s do that.’” (PS: He's so talking about Connor Franta)
