Not to spam the comment section, BUT: 1. You need to watch the rest of the trilogy 2. You should check out Blue Neighbourhood, you'll definitely like the production, and the storytelling for sure 3. If you like it, you might be interested in Animal - his second album, and see how he grew as an artist. 4. As of this summer, we have another EP we can throw on the list - In A Dream *it's a lot, basically asking you make a Troye marathon **as for the dad from the video, it makes sense in the next part of the trilogy 5. After the trilogy, you MUST listen to the deluxe version of "Blue Neighborhood". Edit - the last shot of this video always makes me feel like I'm intruding on something, even though Troye has expressly said that the love story isn't meant to be too sexual, it's just a first love, ya know? Edit 2 - I think the other character's name is Nick - Nick's father is a drunk, and part 2 shows more of how dangerous he is. I won't spoil anything, but there's something he says near the end of "Fools" that if you're able to hear it, it will chill you to the bone.

The one dad you were confused with is an alcoholic. It's touched on more in the other videos.

7:01 *and earlier throughout the whole video you see that dad drinking, he is being portrayed as a an alcoholic and not a nice one as you see on the beach he starts to really get out of control and more and more violent as he drinks so his son drags him away from there.* The clips of the dad portrayed as an alcoholic and a violent alcoholic: 2:33, 2:41, 3:23, 3:42, 3:49, 4:12. 4:27, 5:23, 5:31, 5:35, 5:37, 5:40, 5:44, 5:46, 5:48, 5:51 and 6:07. Plus did you see the two clips at 5:13 and 5:16 ?

I absolutely love Troye, he is a beautiful soul. I’ve seen him live twice now and both times super incredible and his voice is just amazing. You should check out more of his music not just the trilogy but some from the bloom album too. I feel his voice has matured as he has aged.

Soooo goood, I love this song and the story in the video, the man (father of one of the boys) is an alcoholic person that has anger problems, he didn't know (in the first video) about the two boys falling in love with each other. The man has a problem with the other boy's father and they grown in distance.

Wow! First off, this song is amazing. But more importantly I am in tears. I have never heard of this artist and I have never seen a music video portraying this kind of love. I’m so happy to finally live in a time where we are finally able to have this video. I’m 45 and when I was in high school this would never had existed (in mainstream at least). My hope and my fight is that I live to see a day where sexual orientation never has to be declared, questioned or justified. Love is love. Period.
