Thank you very much! They wanted almost $300 at the shop to replace the power door lock actuator for my 2001 nitro. I bought the part online and did the job myself in a couple of hours. The process of taking things apart in this video helped me a lot.

Very helpful video, thanks for posting it! The book shows the latch mechanism remaining attached to the carrier plate during removal, but I hadn't been able to find a video showing how that looks until I found yours. Cheers!

Bro, i did one of these yesterday and instead of leaving the window regulator on the panel i went and took it off 😂😂. It was trial and error, the wire cables for window tracks came off of the roller piece of the regulator, but after almost 2 hours i was able to figure out how to tie those cable wires back up to the regulator and put everything back together, it was tricky as hell.. my aim was to get the lock out, to decode it, everything went successfully, but im glad i learned something new, even if it was the hard way, i just wish I had watched this video first.

I was fixing the window regulator and I don’t know if I put it back together wrong or if the handle is also broken but I must have put the child safety on also. The door will now not open and the outside handle will not work. I see a silver paddle-like mechanism and a curved metal bar with red “guided” plastic around it that seem to have no purpose like I missed something. I don’t know. Or like I said, it could also be broken. But I did switch the child safety and it had done the same thing but after a few tries I could get it open. (Btw after installing a used regulator from a salvage yard that broke again after three times. Either from the rust or the car remaining open or I didn’t plant the window in correctly as you said - wish I had seen your video first. 1 I thought I had better be careful with the glass and 2 I don’t have much strength, that plastic is pretty strong. This has been PITA!!!!). Anyway mine is a 2010 Jeep Liberty, seems different than what you have here in the video but somewhat similar too but I didn’t see you really attack anything. This video is 2 years old so I’m not sure I can get any answers/help.
