New Brake Rotor Set from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1APBR00995
Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes. This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ brakes on your 2007-Present Toyota Tundra.

Thank you for this video. It made the process very easy. I watched it a couple times before attempting to do it, but it was one of the easier brake jobs that I have done. I went and bought pads and rotors this morning and was going to replace them this afternoon. My wife wanted to help me and give a local mechanic some business, so she got on Facebook and looked for a mechanic to do it. One offered to do the job for $120 if we provided the parts. Just after starting the job, the person she hired came to the front door and informed us that there was fluid coming out of the caliper. He was unbolting the 4 bolts that actually keep the caliper together. He did not know how to remove the pads or caliper and didn't think that you had to remove the caliper to replace the rotors. I knew at that point he had no idea what he was doing. I stopped him and asked him to put the bolts back in, and the tire back on. He left and I rewatched the video and did the job. Thank you again.

This was very helpful. Thank you! My retainer bracket was on the bottom, not the top of the caliper. Does it matter where it goes?

I have a set of brake pads in the truck from when i bought it and today i started changing them, but i noticed the new ones are a bit smaller, is there any problem installing them like that or do they have to be snugged in on the top and bottom of the calliper? They're aftermarket stuff. Everything fits, its all installed but the pads got a bit of a gap on the top and the bottom of the caliper.

I changed the disks and pads on my dad's tundra and cse I'm a noob at mechanics opend up the caliper and brake fluid came out. I didn't loosen the brake line or abs. Put everything back together and now we have to press all the way down to the floor to brake. Any ideas why??

Just leave the pads in. And use 2 screw drivers or pry bars as leverage against the pads at the same time. Works like a charm

The “torqued” 👍🏻 at the end was pretty funny. You didn’t tighten any of those lug nuts with the torque wrench, all you did was show they were already at some unknown and possibly very over torqued tightness.

They were already torqued, usually there’s a tiny bit of play before the click, you don’t run ‘‘em down with a impact, you only use the impact to get the lug going as close as possible without actually seating the lug, the the torque wrench will finish the job to its recommended torque spec.
