Your video made it Simple to replace my headlight housings on my 2002 Ford F-350. It took less that 10 minutes to remove the old very dull headlight housings and replace with new ones. Then after it was dark outside it took around another 10 more minutes to adjust both of the new headlight housings. Excellent Video

[UPDATE: The problem I was having was caused by attempting to pre-position and afterwards guide the tips of the three threaded posts on the headlamp assembly into the holes on the truck. Pay no attention to either the tips of the threaded post or to the holes in the truck you are trying to stick them into. Pay attention only to the *plastic guides.* Those little plastic tabs near the pivot point (not tip) of the threaded posts are not finger/release tabs or whatever, BUT GUIDES! They mate up with the vertically-oriented plastic fins on the truck. When you catch the guides on the fins by the gentlest movement when first inserting the headlight (even with the posts not perfectly pointed), they slide right on and automatically guide the posts into the holes. Another thing that makes this easier is taking the parking lights out so you can see what's going on in there.] Of course they make it look like installing these new is as easy as screwing in a lightbulb and I have so far put in two sessions totalling over two hours and haven't succeeded in getting one headlight in. My first two headlight orders got screwed up. I have been without a headlight for two months and now I am without any headlights. Why me? (Been my own mechanic for over 30 years, torn motors down, rebuilt motorcycles from scratch multiple times, have all the tools in the book... and I just fiddle for hours with these things trying to get the posts to feed through the holes. I understand the mechanics of it perfectly, and see perfectly well how the spring clip receives the plastic keeper with the slot. I just can't get all three through. One always get stuck and it seems endless trial and error to get the slot in the right place anyway. This is ridiculous.)

I wish that my new ones fit in as easily; removal was spot-on, but trying to fit & align the three asjusters was tough.

I have a 97. When I pull those two metal tabs up and out, the headlight assembly itself does not come out. The housing that holds the headlight and blinker/running lights together is what comes out. What holds the headlight assembly to the housing is 2 little plastic tabs on the plastic nuts on the adjusting screws that pop out when you push them through the housing. The new headlight assembly I have doesn't have those 2 little plastic tabs on the plastic nuts. That being the case: 1) wth is going to stop my headlight from falling out? 2) why are my truck headlight installations different from every other video I've watched, including this one (every video I've watched shows it just like this video)? I don't have any special headlights. They're stock.
