This video shows you how to install a control arm with ball joint on your 2011-2017 Honda Odessey. Control arms are a crucial part of the suspension system of your vehicle. They not only carry the load of the vehicle to the wheel, but they typically also maintain its alignment. Control arms are typically large and strong, so you may be surprised it needs replacing. They contain rubber bushings for smoother rides at the cost of eventual wear, or integrated ball joints that require replacing the entire arm when they wear.

Good video. Worth noting, Honda switched to an aluminum control arm in 2014. Although most manufacturers say the steel control arm fits 2011 to 2017, this is a bit disingenuous because The aluminum part weighs 10lbs less, less than half the weight. Given that a portion of that is considered unspring weight, you would want that to be equal on both sides of the vehicle, and ideally adjust bump valving of the dampers to match. (I'm not aware of any revised valving for 2014+ models, however.)

so we have to replace the hole control arm with ball joint, not only the ball joint!?

How did you torque the castle nut? No way you used a socket? Did you use a crows foot?
