A local dealer quoted me $1034 to do a single wheel bearing. I was able to DIY it in about an hour for $68 thanks to this video. Keep up the great work TRQ!

Dude, I wish I would have watched this video before starting. Driver's side hub took an hour to get off with a slide hammer and 2.5 hours on the passenger side didn't get it to budge. Tried everything: heat, Aero Kroil, slide hammer, etc. Also managed to ding the quarter panel swinging a BFH. Fixing my old Subie up so that I can gift it to someone in need and it's turning into my own personal Vietnam. Thanks for the tip. Going to be picking up an air hammer tomorrow.

Very nice, well detailed video. HOWEVER, two points of contention here...DO NOT PUT THE CAR ON THE GROUND TO TIGHTEN THE SPINDLE NUT!! This will load the bearing which may cause damage or premature wear. Tighten as he shows in the video, using a bar through the wheel studs, though I'd recommend spinning lug nuts on the studs first (backwards, with the bevel facing out) to avoid damaging the threads.

Awesome video! Just saved this to my playlist as I know my Crosstrek will soon need this done. These Subarus make me miss my low maintenance Honda 😭

As someone who has this exact Subaru, the wheel torque is 90ft/lb. 100 is excessive for this.

Can’t wait to do this monthly maintenance on my car! 😢 *cries in Subaru. Thanks for a great and informative vid. Now to order the parts so I can do my own rears..

Amazing how easily the air hammer loosened the hub from the knuckle.

So do you do all that jazz for the parking brake while it is OFF? or while it is set ON.

The rotors look roached. I would be doing a brake job too... Also the whole car looks roached. Course this thing is probably from up north. I am getting ready to do this on my Crosstrek, which appears to have no rust at all, so hopefully its an easy job! Thanks for the video.

My friend and I raced he did the rear left and I did the rear right and it took him almost 4 hours to get his off with a sledge. I used pen lube and a pry bar and mine was off in about 5 minutes haha god he was pissed.

great video, looks very labor intensive. Some serious rust on that Subaru.

Well presented, although I would have replaced those rotors.

If that were my car that rotor would not have gone back on. Rust is a telling thing.
