Thankfully the thermostat was very easy on this version of the motor is facing towards the radiator next to the battery. It's below the top hose. Make sure to put it at 12 o'clock position. With shorter end facing out. There is a mark on the housing to indicate where the top of the thermostat goes.

The video skipped the 6mm hex socket. Doing the job now and that one stuck. I guess it was the same as well but was cut for production value ;)
