My 2017 at idling stays cool but when driving quickly overheats and turning on heater helps cool it back down while driving, yes radiator fans works fine

My 2106 sorrento started to get coolant coming out the reservoir. Changed the radiator cap and thermostat. Drove it with no issues for over 30mins and then temp crept up (same issue it had before) Fluid coming out the reservoir again. Think I burped the system well. Doesn’t seem to be leaking anywhere else. Fans on after I turn off the car - so not the fans.wanted to see if it could be something else before swapping a pump.

I would check for a head gasket issue, before a water pump. going by what you are expalining.

My Kia Soul 2015 is leaking coolant right from that area of it. I just noticed it. I already had bought 3 gallons of coolant before. Is Kia Soul water pump in the same area like the Sorrento have them?

Bought a water pump and it came with two felt gaskets. My question is the rubber o ring gasket that you replaced good enough or do you use the felt gasket as well over top of it?

Only use gaskets that are supposed to go there, should be 3 gaskets in total to complete this job

How often have you seen an impeller coming loose on the water pump shaft? I currently have no heat at idle and good heat while driving. This is a 2016 Kia Sorento with 150,000 km

that is not a pump issue, i would suspect a head gasket/low coolant/air stuck in system. a broken water pump will cause instant over heat issues.

If it's not leaking I would leave it. but they typically tend to fail around that mileage. Use a light to visually inspect the water pump, if there is not sign of leakage( corrosion or green crusty bits) then I would not replace it. Thanks for watching

It's going ok.. I think I am just tiered of all the dealership Bull****, they only care about $$$$$ and dont give a rats *** about the client. all dealers are the same.. Most techs at dealers are only there for the pay, Dealer ships are becoming parts cannon central. Got a code- change the part-- next. Even the Tech line changes parts until it doesn't fix the car, then they are like" well it must be something you did, Good Luck". My boss tried to get me to change the parts based on a dtc. I told him NO. That's not how I work and it goes against my personal morals. Any ways thanks for watching Ian.

Hi, I have a 2011 Kia Sorento with the code P0880. It will put my car in limp mode and it will be stuck in 4th gear. It will mostly happen when I cold crank my car, but sometimes if I let my car heat up and run for around 15 minutes then cut the switch off then back on and it will run fine. It is also draining my battery, so if I put a new battery in it then it will work right for a couple days. I have got my grounds cleaned, checked relays, had a couple different people look at it. I know the transmission works fine because it will sometime drive fine. I have been told it’s the wiring in the transmission, it could be the shift solenoids in the transmission or a short wire anywhere in the car. It is very frustrating and I have been trying to solve this issue for over a month! Please help! Thank you!!!!

the dtc that you are having is indicating that there is a power supply issue, this could be in any one component or wiring. Since your issue comes and goes the vehicle needs to be tested with the fault present.

bottom bolt of water pump will not clear i to remove. on new models is does,

You'd need skinny arms and probably remove the engine mount on top to get good enough access.
