New Brake Pads from 1AAuto.com 1aau.to/ia/1ABPS02906
Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes. This video shows you how to install new, quality TRQ brake pads and rotors on your 2013-20 Mini Cooper.

Nice clean/bright video ... awesome! Will be changing my out soon. I just did a pad replacement about 2 weeks ago in my garage here in the northeast. Took a while to get the pads in .. not really sure why but replacement pads are different for my 2017 mini countryman All4S. Tested it out this past weekend; dry... good. Will do rotors with next change.

Thank you so much!!! You have a new subscriber!! Just a question, is it normal that the wear sensor is only in the front left brake pads? Cause i just found it there, nothing in the front right side of the car. Thanks again!

Note that you will need to replace the brake pad wear sensor if it was tripped, meaning you have the brake warning light on the dashboard. I just replaced the pads and attempted to reuse the original sensor and when resetting the warning light, I got the unable to reset sensor.

Overall, very informative but please note that multi-clicking a torque wrench results in over torquing. Set the wrench using a master ie calibrated torque meter, apply to bolt or nut and click once only. - 'torqued' correctly. This is standard engineering practice.

Ive never done brakes on mini cooper but generally when pushing the caliper inward to fit the new pads, the fluid wants to rise inside the master cylinder. I noticed you did not open the master cylinder cap to allow for this rise in fluid. Can you mention why?

I always find your videos helpful, but apparently they changed the brakes on the 2016 F55 Cooper S. I went to check mine and there is no caliper bracket tins on the front. Instead, there is a spring type clip connected directly to the pads. Also, the caliper slide pins are identical on the 2016, rather than different as shown in your video. Thanks.

Strange. Our Countryman doesn't have any brake pad hardware tins like the video. None when I removed the factory pads and none came with the new brake pads.. The new and old ones have a spring built into the pad. Do I need to get some hardware too? Strange that it didn't have some from the factory. They must have screwed up at the factory.

Nice video but I do not recommend buying any parts from the online retailer A1 Auto. I bought brake pads that don't fit and they refuse to exchange them for the correct part. The website is misleading as they put 2 different car model parts right next to each other. The front and rear pads I received are for different vehicle models. When you choose your parts online for the front pads, it is right next to the wrong set of rear pads even though I put in the correct vehicle information. I also received the items with damaged packaging and it did not seem to concern 1A Auto when I brought t to their attention. It was past their official return time, but the holidays should have have some extension like most reputable retailers. So now I have pads I cannot use or return. Great customer service 1A! Do yourself a favor, use your local auto part store where they would be willing to help you out and provide GOOD customer service and they are cheaper too. I am extremely unsatisfied with 1A Auto and will never use them again.
