Good effort and well explained Ben. We all have little tricks and preferences on how to do things, but I found your vid helpful - Thanks.

Just been catching up on your videos, Ben you missed the perfect opportunity to paint the brake callipers yellow or red whilst upgrading your brakes. Another great video to watch, keep going. Cheers buddy.

EBC Yellow Stuff are excellent . . Even on an Audi Allroad A6 , they’re remarkable, get some 👌🏻

Nice , great vid! If you can, tell us how your setup works. I’m planning on buying some ebc brake pads for my Mini Cooper s as well

I was looking through ur vids several days ago to see if u have done ur brakes, I ordered a set of ebc yellow stuff pads and ebc discs the other day with lohen, I hope they are an improvement over stock 😆

I’ve not been out in mine to test them yet, it will take 200 miles before I can bed them in, then after 200 miles I have to do 5 hard stops from 60mph to 20mph.

Replace all my rotors for stop tech ceramic pad. Running with oem mini genuine pad- they are semi metallic. Problem: leaves large amount of brake dust on my front wheel drive car. Would you recommend using the yellow stuff or red stuff? I don’t wanna warp or have hot spot on my new rotors lol
@xudongfan6962 Жыл бұрын
Great video! A quick question about the brake pad. I have to use a flat screw driver to force the pads into the bracket. They are very tight after installing. Is that normal? I see you skipped that part.
@BenRolfe Жыл бұрын
Hey! They do seem a bit tighter than usual, I think it’s because of the metal clip that’s in place on the pads. Mine was the same.

Hi Ben, Have you any videos on how to remove the Glove Compartment to give easy access to fuses?
@BenRolfe Жыл бұрын
Hi! I don’t but it’s very easy to remove. There is a screw inside the glove box at the top which needs to be removed as well as two under the door which have covers over the top. Once you’ve removed all of the screws the glove box pulls out.

Nice video. Do you use an adaptor block when you're jacking the car? Also, any luck with using jack stands?
@BenRolfe3 жыл бұрын
Hey! I didn’t use any jack blocks. I do have jack stands to hand but they weren’t suitable for where I was installing the brakes. I used my wheel instead, granted, it’s not ideal but they need refurbishing or I may just get some new alloys!

Great vid, just ordered same kit for my f55, did you have to bleed the breaks after fitting?
@BenRolfe3 жыл бұрын
Hey 👋 i didn’t bleed them but they’ve been working flawless since!
@jean-philippecorbefin64293 жыл бұрын
Does it improve the brake performance at then end ? (Cold road usage and for spirited drive). I am interested on your advise since on my 2015 MCS, brake performance is the main disappointment.
@BenRolfe3 жыл бұрын
Hey 👋 brake performance has improved pre brake bed in. I should imagine that after I have bedded the brakes in the performance will have changed drastically. I have only done 50 miles so far with them so I still need to do 150 before I can bed them in. I’ve heard the yellow stuff pads are the best pads you can get for the stock Cooper S set up.

I just installed those pads on my F56 S and hearing a metallic noise while moving at low velocity (sub 10 mph), the pads are moving inside the caliper but they fit perfectly on the disc... any thoughts? After 10/20 miles it brakes very good and no more noise Thanks
@BenRolfe3 жыл бұрын
Hey 👋 have you bedded them in yet? How many miles have you done in them
@ludomarza3 жыл бұрын
@@BenRolfe just installed today and done less than 50miles, brake power is much more better compared to stock ones... but the pads are just moving inside the calipers since i did not have any anti rattle clip in the package.. could be that the problem?
@brianmogle11213 жыл бұрын
You don't need to remove the pads before removing the brake caliper mounting bracket. You can also leave the brake disk screw in but leave it loose so the disk doesn't fall.

Nice video! Have a question - I've recently replaced my rear discs and brake pads with factory default. Front brakes should be replaced as well very soon, and I like the idea of upgrading brakes with something bit better. Question is - should I mix Brembo in front with EBC brake pads and factory default in the rear?
@BenRolfe3 жыл бұрын
Hey 👋 I have the same setup, EBC and Brembo at the front with stock at the back. I haven’t had any issues at all with mine.

Another quick question, do the brake sensors need replacement every time when doing the brake pads?
@BenRolfe3 жыл бұрын
It’s not essential, I just had one to hand incase I broke the old one when removing it. If your careful you can remove the old one

Can i replace with ebc pads without changing discs ???

You could do as long as your current disks haven’t got a considerable lip. But it’s probably advisable to change both pads and disks.
