This video shows you how to install new front brake pads and rotors from TRQ on your 2014-2019 Toyota Highlander. Brake pads wear out over time, much like tires, and need replacing, on average, every 50,000 miles, with variations depending on driving habits and environment. Brake rotors may also need to be replaced if they are warped or grooved. Often, it’s safer and more cost effective to replace pads and rotors at the same time. Squealing or grinding noises, or wheel vibration are all symptoms of worn brakes.

You don’t need to do alignment after a break job alignment is needed when you do front end work

Is it cheaper to change your break pads from a mechanic than doing it at the Dealer? I’m just asking because Toyota is charging me over $650 to change both of my break pads in the front.

Why he recommends an alignment is because look at that brand new hub/knuckle assembly he just put on not explained, shown or expressed in the video.

I understand from manufacturers of the brake rotors not to use brake clean on them as they have a protective coating on them use soapy water

Seriously thinking of doing this but here's how it will go for me. 1. Remove the tire. 2. Round off the bolts holding the caliper on.
