Out of curiosity, I watched another video describing the same procedure. It is 24 minutes long and includes a lot a story telling and head scratching by the presenter. He completed the job, but it took a lot longer. I much prefer some one getting to the point; it saves time and confusion.

This channel is phenomenal. On my 2006 Matrix I need to replace the rotors, axles, seals, links and shocks. Yup. All that. And all the videos are here. These videos makes it so much easier and gives confidence. I wish there were more videos like these for different brands of cars.

They are super useful. Just replaced the starter on a 2006 Matrix with 195,000 miles. Just found out the front right strut is covered in dirty oil, but not dripping-gonna keep an eye on it for now.

Awesome video -this is very helpful - perfect length. Only difference on my 2004 Vibe is that there is a 18 mm nut on the stabilizer bar instead of the Hex screw

For some reason I have seen that the 2 hub to strut bolts vary in sizes for different models. Some take a 19mm socket, others a 21mm. I found a 12 point 7/8 fits nice and tight, but one of my bolts is frozen so bad I might have to grind it off. And good luck finding a replacement for it online.

Hah. Conveniently doesn’t cover getting off the bottom end link bolt lol. I use my small dremel extension with a cutoff wheel to slice the bolt.too tight for a regular cutoff wheel. Just making two big slices in it is usually enough to get it to budge.

HELP! I was installing the new strut, and when torquing the top strut to body nuts down to 29 Ft lbs, 2 of the 3 studs literally sheared in half. The only thing I did do differently, is I started torquing these ones first, without doing the rest and setting the vehicle back down on the ground. Is that why this happened? How do I prevent this from happening again?
