This is such a great virtual event! That horse is just gorgeous! I am in the online program. Watching Tristan work with a "problem"/fresh horse all the way through is so helpful! I learned so much from this and will watch it a few times over.

I love this. I think this session should be an introduction to TRT in the online learning program. Everything makes so much sense after watching this 😊

Tristan, you are a yoga guru for equines :). The body awareness you offer to the equine, and using the focus on the space between you and the equine as a place for them to return to when distraction occurs, takes the place of returning to the breath when we practice yoga. I love it!

Amazing to see how quickly the mare relaxed and moved more freely with the patterns.

This is inspiring. I'm in the online program but I had not really understood the method partly because I hadn't seen the whole picture. After watching this I immediately went out and did the basic patterns and leading exercise with my young horse who is a nervous type. He responded really well and afterwards was so relaxed. I found the explanation of the neck position really helpful as I was always trying to bring his head down. It seemed to happen naturally with the method.

Very informative! It's like a summery of the TRT method, it clears things up for me cause i find the course very comprehensive and therefor i forget to practice😅 But this helps!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! This beautiful mare, although very green is so similar to my 15yo gelding with how he hold his tension. I have been a member online for about a year and had great success in the beginning and then hit some hurdles and almost gave up. I had searched elsewhere for answers but came back to this training as the concept made so much sense. During this demonstration Tristan answered so many questions I had!! I was also able to overcome so many road blocks I had come across during my TRT training by seeing where I was going wrong and how I can help my horse by receiving some extra explanation for why my horse was reacting the way he has been. I’m very excited for my next training session with him and taking him back to the beginning to overcome so many issues. I’m so grateful to this mares owner for not giving up on her and allowing us to see the amazing outcome as a result of not giving up hope!

Is this mare going to remain in training with you? If so, would you please post videos of her progress? I would love to watch her journey. Thank you!

Lovely to see the transformation. What a beautiful mare. Teaching her how to respond within her own body (nervous system) to external influences. Love your videos. Hope this isn't a stupid question, but would bringing your horse's awareness to the 'possible' areas of tension (base of neck, girth, flank, stifle), whilst your horse is in a calm state (stable, arena, field) be beneficial? Or does the horse need to be experiencing some tension, in order to fully benefit from the teachings of self regulation?

😅mommy likes when horsey needs her....and mommy likes when horsey kisses her all the time. Another Excellent TRT session, Thank You! Very interesting learning about teaching a horse how to be self aware, and also how to control their own level of tension. As riders we unfortunately end up making our animals so tense...without meaning to.

Please check her stomach. Something is bothering her a lot. It's exactly in the middle, below her spine, under the saddling area. She feels it is something hard that hurts more when she is standing still. Please.

Just wanted to say... I have seen some of your stuff before and because of my knowledge and experience with horses i understood what you were doing ? That being said .... I have started colts and horses for going on 30 years or more. Being in the western industry ( Cowboy ) I have never had anyone hold my horses when getting on the First Time? I do not iknow who or where you are referencing from but Im guessing you know exactly Where you are not referencing from! So that being said Please refrain from being such a Condecending asshole. ITs Mostly those Cowboys your talking about that have been going aroung the World long before you have been doing what you are and teaching the same people you are (all 10 of them ) teaching for 30 40 years or more and stiill Continue too. So Please show at least a little respect to the "Cowboy" that has brought good horsmanship to the world you reference to in such a negative way! There are bad apples in every discipline i would agree so lets remember there are just as many in you world of the horse as well! good luck on your horsemanship journey . You can learn something from everyone because im sure you know a true horseman never stops learning! Thank you and good luck to you l T
