Just a comment on you report that “The Troubles” being fighting for decades, and being a Catholic, Protestant issue. Go back to the 15th Century and it might have been; but it soon became a Foreign Occupation issue. Move to 1916 and it was still a Foreign Occupation, and became a Republican issue. Even the number of Scottish names in The Occupied Counties of Northern Ireland is forgotten that they fled the British and found refuge in Ireland, and now are played as either Catholic or British Loyalists, depending on what the Media want played out. The way you are writing it up, you must want us to believe there are no Protestant Republicans !

Better offer Irish Americans, Irish Australians and Irish New Zealanders citizenship in addition to British people and descendants overseas. Not only that, have more children and try to convert Irish people from Italian, Spanish and Portuguese Christianity (Roman Catholicism) to their own Protestant Church (Episcopalianism/Church of Ireland). Because Presbyterianism, Methodism and Anglicanism are considered Scottish, Welsh and English denominations. I was shocked that the tiny British Islands have so much land that is not built on.

Most of the RC’s and Protestants aren’t even observant, they just self identify as Catholics, and Protestants.
