The so called religious clergy are the ones who steal bullions of dollars. They all have million dollar homes in iran , Europe , the US and mostly Canada . The world doesn’t realize that this government is a backward archaic , corrupt sum of evil . They spend Iran’s income on sending billions to Iraq, Yemen , Palestinian Hamas, and Lebanon in the hopes of controlling all those countries and spreading their radical Islamic ideology. There is no freedom of speech, press , even what a woman wears is controlled, women are half a citizen with very little rights . When Obama releases all that money , it wasn’t spent on the Iranians. Cultural and economic poverty has devastated iran by this Regime . People have been fleeing iran . In history there was never an exodus by the Persians.

Why does a documentary made about Iran, pronounce the word "Iran" incorrectly? The country's name is pronounced "Eee-Raaaaan", not "Eee-Ran". I guess it's still an improvement over "Aay-Ran".

Ever since I had a few projects to do about Iran back in school I fell in love with the country and it's people. I don't agree with the sanctions because they hurt the normal citizens, not the people in power. I'd like to ask a question or two about Iran's isolation. Hasn't the government wanted the very isolation it complains about now ever since the beginning of the Republic? Wasn't one of the main reasons the revolution happened because of the anger Iranians felt towards the shah whom they portrayed as being completely reliant on Europe and the US?

Iran is a country under sanctions for more than 40 years but still it is becoming a great power in the region...There are countries with no sanctions upon them but with worse conditions compared to Iran. What Iran is doing is RIGHT because Iran is maintaining and protecting her SOVEREIGNTY. Iran doesn't want nukes...Iran doesn't need nukes...the thing is that the Americans due to the heavy Israeli influence on their politics are trying to prevent any country in the region to become more powerful than Israel...even this policy was followed by them during the Shah's time.
