i think lightborn is a very unfun perk and all perks countering core mechanics suck. I mean there are multiple ways to counter flashlight saves anyways (looking into a wall or just not picking up which still favors the killer)... i get flash light saved once a week at most anyways and ur probably gonna win the match against a bully squad because they are running meme builds which can be countered by using ur brain. But hey since the devs want to make dbd the most competitive game on earth and the player base too i think they should hide items in the main menu. only downside to this is item camp bubba will be harder There is nothing more devastating than realising the killer has lightborn so u cant mess around during the match and now have to "gen rush" them to just get a free ez win lol

Also most of the time no one ever really runs lightborn u less they see multiple in the lobby, especially if you see 4 then lightborn is most ideal. Plus if 4 players have it, I mean it's 9/10 times a bully squad. So I think it's fine to use it. Even then it can be a pointless slot if players know u have it so at the end of the day. It's a perk that works when players don't know u have it and completely useless when they know..

I prefer Franklins because Franklins causes slowdown. You remove toolboxes and medkits, they waste time digging in chests, gen and healing is slowed. You remove flashlights, they will go back and search for their flashlight and go for saves instead of doing gens. I also main Knight, who is literally the anti-bully killer

If they're only using flashlights though then lightborne is better since the survivors are essentially carrying around a useless item whereas if you use Franklin's then you could still get blinded by one of four survivors. Frankin's is good if they're all using medkits.

Had three flashlights ran lightborn survivor intentionally was “afk” got downed for them to try and flashlight save and proceeded to complain I didn’t want to deal with the hassle of facing walls and choose to outright counter it lol

Sadly you need one of his red addons to prevent that window vault. Actually being there does not block it. Its very similar to when killers used to get stuck inside pallets / windows due to BHVR's wonderful coding in the past.

It prevents all forms of blind, which is why it can actually be worth running even if you dont see flashlights (I wouldn't recommend it unless you REALLY hate being flashbanged)

@@darthseraphim369 ehh, I'd say no, mmr is kinda built into the game by default so regardless if you play ranked or quick match you more or less get teams of similar skills but a few more variables. Unless ur referring to the comp side of dbd which is a different ball park tbh

The competitive side of DBD is community run and bans certain addons and perks depending on killer strengths and weaknesses. They also pick the more fair maps. Early on behavior had a DBD tournament and BHVR ignored the hard lessons that the comp scene had already learned about game balance and so the tournament was a complete fucking disaster. I'm sure there's more than one video on that. BHVR won't even let their people play games on stream anymore because it's so apparent that they aren't even mid at the game. They don't understand their own game beyond spreadsheets. They probably don't even know how many SWFs and Killers dump MMR to play a more laid back experience. I don't know how many either, but I'm sure they could come up with some data points to identify survivors and killers who dump MMR. For instance, as killer, intentionally low MMR killers will have shorter chases and still "lose" or "draw" more than they win while having over 30k base blood points a match on average. But that's just my experince, since I'm still farming PB. I'll just shoot survivors ad melee after I've killed one and 2 hooked the others as deathslinger for instance, to drive up my devious blood points.

Removing the background music in a trial when doing nothing should be a feature, much more atmospheric plus let’s you hear breathing much better. Sadly that bug will be gone next patch most likely cuz it’s killer sided

cry baby killer has never been easier than it is now. When i played killer back in 2016 it was literally impossible to catch survivors yet I didn't cry over it nor the player base then. Todays dbd players are like toddlers. Naww we took away this thing from killer now its unplayable arrgh the game is so survivor side 😭😭😭. And then u have the fucking survivors too crying over this perk getting nerfed 😭😭😭. Just play the fu**ing game lol. The devs dont give a shit about the game, and if they did we would have had a half year without any new killers or survivors and had bug fixes and QOL updates that the whole community want

Official forum is infested by people what live in a world where Pig and Freddy are great killers and need to be nerfed. Or people actually complaining that 5 seconds of DS was not enough, because of one killer. Steam forum is full of people demandong nerfs of killers, because they have zero idea how to learn sinple, and basic, things like countering perks. Whole community? Not even close. @@copium7845 actually killer is way harder then it used to be. No real regression, minimal slowdown, tons of basekit information on survivor side, survivors have tons of cheap items, kick limits meaning there is no attrition anymore, almost all of the "smol pp meta" is meta again, average Gen speeds are the fastest they've been since 3.6 heck they are almost at 1.2.1 speeds when survivors had 2% great skill checks and a requirement of 65 charges and killers couldn't kick gens. At the current time I'm aware of three methods of popping a Gen in less than 20 seconds. And we're seeing nerfs on killers who don't deserve it (seriously unknown didn't deserve his and skullmerch was butchered for no reason.

​@@NameIsDoc Behavior is dead set on removing every playstyle for killer without giving killers decent base kits. Killers are essentially bottlenecked into slugging and tunneling now. Sadako being nerfed like she did because of kill rate is the dumbest shit as well despite nurse and blight being much worse. Gen repair speed needs to be nerfed or else killers will just keep tunneling and slugging because it's the only way to win really since you're punished for chasing someone for more than 15 seconds.

i have 1k hours in this game like 400 on survivor 600 on my huntress and i have like 2 games facing bots then 8 games against twitch streamers / swfs and people with 10k+ in teams and shit, yet a twitch streamer told me i can't be in high mmr what do you think tru3. I even faced kekso.

I think lightborn is boring on both sides. I used to run it, and now I don't even wanna waste the perk slot. Once you run into the squads where it doesn't matter and they realize you have it, then just bust out gens in two minutes. Isn't a fun time. I'd rather they go for risky saves vs them doing gens

I mean this team is a very rare instance. usually theres one or two people DEDICATED to flashlight or flashbang saves while the other 3 survivors bang out gens with toolboxes and BNP.. It gets to a point where it feels uncounterable and unfun to play against (I know fun and quality of life for killer is looked down upon to mention, but this instance requires it lol). You cant secure hooks and you also cant protect generators. Lets be honest, all it takes is 1-2 well timed saves to completely destroy the game for the killer. Survivor items have always been massively powerful compared to what people give them credit for, but flashlights and flashbangs are just insane when combined, survivors aren't always gonna go down in a spot where its like "Oh just look at a wall OMEGALUL!!". Running lightborn doesnt make the game less fun against a team like that for me, it just makes it playable. If your version of fun is having to waste extra time searching around and feeling sketched out picking up downs you rightfully earned, have at it man.
