Yeah, when I goof off or play a weaker killer I get really rude/toxic survivors in about 30-50% of my games. EZ baby killer etc. When I switch to my Nurse I instead get disconnects every game or every other game and they all give up. Funny how that works.

Some people would say that i'm 'Virtur signaling', but honestly i think nurse should be nerfed, it's one of the most nerfed killers after the pig (lol) and it's still the best killer in the game, only reason nurse exists because dbd used to have an utterly trash gsmeplay design, so they created nurse to bypass their terrible game design, i don't even enjoy to play as her because of easy 4k's all the time

I have often wondered about this general sentiment in the broader community, and I think it boils down to 2 main reasons: 1) A simple numbers game. If the survivors play to win, and by extension, have fun, then 4 people had fun, and 1 didn't. The other way around, 1 person had fun, and 4 didn't. 2) Survivors playing together will back each other up in their grievances. If a killer gets annoyed at a survivor(s), they will express that annoyance to themself and then think about that further with a high chance of realising the survivor was just doing what they are supposed to do. If a survivor in a swf gets annoyed with a killer, they will express this and have a high chance of their friends backing them up, so less chance of self reflecting on how they may be wrong

It would help if the other side doing well would not be regarded as a personal insult. And that is true for survivors and killers. Some people just bitch and moan about the game, the community at large or the last match, to the point that I wonder, why they even stick around. Getting stomped never feels good. Killers and survivors are no different in that regard. It’s the give and take games, where the most fun is to be had and where that isn’t tied at the hip with the outcome.

I've had countless survivors in post-game-chat calling me slurs for "tunneling/camping/whatevering" at X gens, but when I ask them if they would have slowed down if the match went downhill for me, they're dead silent. A few times they told me they wouldn't have because it would have been a skill issue on my part. Go figure.

Had a match just last night where they 3-genned themselves against my Doc with Make Your Choice and Dragon's Grip. Kept finding them in that corner of the map with ease getting quick downs, and apparently that made me "the queen of campers" and an "ez killer." I kept trying to leave the area, but someone always screamed on that side of the map before I could get far, so leaving would have just been willingly stupid. I've just taken to laughing at them and being mockingly polite ("It WAS an ez game! Thank you for the relaxing match!"). They either don't respond or lose all their chill and show their asses lmao

There is definitely a disconnect between casual and serious players. Which is why dbd needs a ranked mode. If dbd was a competitive as the devs claim there would be a ranking system. But there isn't. So casual survivors constantly go against serious killers, and vice versa. And no ones happy anymore.

It's a balancing act everyone is trying to play for fun but also to win. If a killer goes into match with weak perks and just tries to have a fun game with survivors then the survivors gen rush and t-bag at the exit gate as they all 4 escape you think that killer is going to do the same thing next game? It goes both ways though it's like you see a weak killer or a killer having a hard time yet you don't take it easy on them you still play as if you're at the top level and to you it's a free escape or your chance at feeling like a god running the killer for 3+ gens. There is no fix for it you just need to accept it and go in with mentality that you're going to be versing the best players in the game then go easy at your own discretion when you feel that they're weaker survivors. You can let them finish some gens and get some hook saves or even just let 1 of them escape and not go for the 4k which is usually what I do. It really just comes down to peoples mentality that pushes the game in a direction because even when a killer is playing fair but just stomping us with a really good build I still get frustrated and t-bag the killer as I run from them because I didn't have fun even though they're just doing what they need to do and it was on us survivors to play the game at an equal level.

It is because most people doesn't understand what TOXIC means and they use it for everything that they not like. Nothing that makes you closer to your main objective (for killer, well...killing, and for survs doing generators) should be considered as TOXIC. Camping is not toxic, tunneling is not toxic, abusing lockers or flashlights is not toxic at all. This is all part of the game and game mechanics. If you don't like it, then you should consider changing the game. What is not good is tea bagging, hitting on hook etc. This will not get you closer to fulfill your objective. It is done just to make you angry. I didn't mention any hacks for obvious reasons.

I think its just the natural psychology with being chased by something in a video game. How often have you possibly cussed out a zombie or monster AI in a video game thats been trying to get you, but you manage to escape? Its that "Yeah, suck it!" Mentality behind besting your predator and it obviously applies here. This doesnt defend most peoples actions outside the game (such as harassment) but definitely explains why survivors forget to let the killer have fun during the moment.

Not to mention the most simple mechanics from survivors breaking parts of killers kits making them absolutely useless against a SWF. Playing Pinhead? Oh simple just walk into literally anything and the chains break off instantly. Playing Vecna? or Nemesis? Huntress even and all you got to do is crouch being heigh level objects to deflect it, literally negating half their power. Prediction is easy as a good survivor so as a killer you gotta work extra hard if you wanna get anything done in a game against 4 people using comms with a collective 16k hours.

the problem is that a gen is always 90 seconds , a chase can vary between 5 seconds to 5 min, you as survivor can be better and extend the time the killer needs to catch you,but as killer you cant add imaginary seconds to a generator to last longer.

For me, I'm having fun when everyone's actually trying to play the game in earnest. I've never raged at a flashlight save or a pallet drop or a bodyblock, I actually have come to appreciate when survivors do that. So many of my games someone kills themselves on first hook, go AFK, or purposefully sandbag teammates. As killer, watching survivors struggle against one another is a terrible feeling, because I know they're not having fun and I have nothing to do with that. They're doing it to each other. Then I hop over to survivor and there's always a spoil-sport, either another survivor or the killer. When I play survivor my least favorite games are when the killer gives up at 3 gens and stops chasing. So, since I know that's my least favorite thing that happens as survivor, when I play killer (which is most of the time) I make sure to try to win as earnestly as I can. I want my opponents to TRY to beat me, so I assume they think the same way. They obviously don't always, but I like when they do. Everyone complains about "Toxic this" and "BM that", but to me, the most toxic thing you can do is play as though your opponent isn't as good or better than you.

I have 200 hours in DBD with most of that being killer (I know it’s not a lot, it’s more to show how experienced players don’t make it fun when they can tell I’m a newbie). I’ve left games before because people wouldn’t stop flashlight saving and body blocking on The Artists map when they have 1 gen left and I’m at 0 hooks. I’m fine with going against better players because it’ll make me better and I know I’m not going to win those games. It would just be nice to get some hooks

The point of true is correct if you idealize what a perfect team should be. But for me as a casual player with 1k hours I had a lot of games with survivors who dc after first blood, a meg who pre dropped every pallets at the beginning of the game someone who bodyblock you on purpose or nobody rescue you after first blood, survivors who don’t know how to counter some killers like oni, plague, legion, nemesis,myers… who will snowball you after they « upgrade » their powers. What I mean is that it’s often non binary like True tend to explain the situation: it’s not always a survivors vs killer situation but a lot of time you have to deal with a survivor vs survivor vs killer situation. In addition to this survivors don’t have the same objectives at all! Some just want to have good chases and won’t touch a gen of the whole match, some will just care about escape the game, some will just follow you in chase to get a flash save. The main problem for me isn’t the maps the builds, the shitty MMR system.. The problem is that we lack of game modes. Every players are going on the same lobbies by default. And 90% of the times the game will be completely random and unbalanced because of that. We need a permanent 1v1 game mode with a ladder for soloq players who don’t care about competitive and gen efficiency, a normal/or shuffle mode/2v8 for people who want to chill with fun builds, playing with friends or whatever and a competitive mode with a transparent ladder with REAL ranks (not this bullshit of iri 1) for competitive players with perks/ add on/ map offering restriction for ppl who sweaty solo q players and team and with a proper vocal !! Only like this they will tend to a fair equilibrium between survivors/killers and satisfied everyone.

The only thing killers do that makes the game unfun is the constant tunneling every match, like i get needing pressure because the gens can pop really fast but ive seen alot of killers go after 1 person even with other people trying to get them off the unhooked person.. at least thats been my experience this past week or so

I don't think so. As a survivor, matches can be pretty short. Nowadays, if you got camped or just frustrated, you kill yourself at hook and within 1 min you are already playing a new game. As killer, you can't ds, so you're stuck until the 4 survs escape (or die). And many times, when survs make fun of a killer outplaying him during the match, they like to stay, extend and tease, laughing, for example, teabagging at exits, etc. I'm not sure if I referred to the same point you were talking about, but I hope I did

I'm honestly shocked when I get a "gg" from survivors after I 4k them. I try not to tunnel much, but certain situations call for it. The double standards are stupid and crazy how often they occur. I often time say both sides are guilty of toxic behavior, but the make sure other side has fun seems to only apply to killer players. Because this game is "killer sided" you have to play in a way that gives chances otherwise you're mean and not good cause somehow 12-hooking is easy. But yet if you go lax the survivors always rush through gens. In a multiplayer game, no one is responsible for other people's fun. As long as you are not hacking play however you want and people just need to suck it up. But fragile egos just quit instead of playing when they get beat.

Yeah, I agree if we also say the same for survivors, but survivors that scream this nonsense are often the same ones trying to play to win as hard as they possibly can, and then when the killer reacts to them sweating against them like crazy, they get upset that the killer sweats back. I had a game where I went after someone right after hook, picked them up, and they didn't have DS so I dropped them, and gave them a second chance, literally 30 seconds later, 2 gens pop, and then another soon after, I was forced to tunnel that person so I could catch up again. When I wasn't even planning to, but the survivors weren't chill, so I responded in kind.

I get there are very toxic survivor groups and bully squads, but at the same time there are also a ton of nice people that play this game and attempt to just have fun. The problem with DBD is that this saltiness gets carried over into other games and BHVR doesn't want to fix core issues. Survivor group 1 bullies you hardcore (or sometimes not, maybe you just had a very bad game) so you bring the hardcore stuff the next game to try and up your chances at winning or take out your frustrations, which causes group 2 to think the same thing of "oh man this guy is tunneling at 5-4 gens, he's BMing and being an asshole" so they end up doing the same thing in THEIR next game, which makes that killer salty. Its a never ending loop where many people want to play a casual game, but they are railroaded into a competitive one and BHVR can't seem to make up their mind about it. DBD also has a horrible gamestate that isn't really easy to fix. Personally I think it just comes down to the issue of generators themselves, since it takes 90 seconds for a survivor to do a generator (at 1 charge per second, it takes 90 charges to do a generator) but killers can only regress a generator after 6 fucking minutes (a generator regresses at -0.25 charges, its FOUR times longer.) Why they don't just increase this base value of regression so that anti-gen perks aren't required anymore is beyond me. Buff the base, nerf the perks so that they are more of a minor bonus rather than "you run this or you don't win". Or hell, just give us a gamemode where you need to last a certain amount of time with no generators? don't give survivors the ability to determine when the game ends and let the game focus be about the CHASE (the most fun part of the game for tons of people, no one likes sitting on gens for 90 straight seconds or getting hit with gen regression 5 times within the span of 10 seconds). and for GODS sake, remove the ability to try and unhook yourself! Remove skill checks during your 2nd hook stage. I absolutely despise people who don't have the balls to play a game to the end and are given a literal mechanic to bypass the DC penalty, fucking over their team because you did a misplay within the first 20-30 seconds of a match and got hooked early. I wouldn't even mind giving the survivors a "vote to give up" button that cuts to the killer doing a Mori on everyone or something, it would genuinely be better than a single person giving up and killing themselves, and now I don't get to play the rest of the match.

Just needs alternate objectives integrated into the gameplay to take some angst away from the main objectives. Probably been thought up before but imagine that whenever the third gen is completed a random locker pops open and spawns a loot crate with blood points, auric cells exclusive skins, whatever. Suddenly everyone is tempted to abandon the main objective to scope out lockers. Could up the ante and highlight it’s aura after the fourth gen is done. Should dump a bunch of status effects on whoever interacts with the loot so it isn’t an easy in and out. Survivor side would seethe in postgame chat at the teammate who threw to get the loot first only to get grabbed and the team snowballed.

I get what you said about not needing to bring anti tunnel perks just to have fun but I think the cores issue here is game balance,in its current state killers that aren’t at the top of B+ tier or higher struggle to keep up consistently against above average survivors esp swfs thus reducing the viable killer pool,my proposed solution to this is first off separate casual and ranked and in ranked mode implement some sort of corresponding buff/nerf based on tier for example S tiers like nurse -5% gen kicking and pallet break speed and C tier killers like Freddy and trapper get +20% gen kick and pallet break speeds or instead of the corresponding buffs/nerfs being tied to kick speed they tie it to base regression giving the killers higher base regression based on their tier

Yea ive genuinely stopped caring about how other people's matches go. I used to try and 2 hook everybody, be fair and make sure it's a decent game for everybody. But you can only take so much tbagging at gate, or getting messages sent before it starts to get to you. Now i just play for my fun. If i get dcs or something im not going to give the survivors any slack. That's not my fault he dc'd. Ive ended games in 4 minutes with a smile. I've ended games over 10 minutes long with a smile. Watching the patience and sanity drain out of someone is my new favorite thing to do. That's all it comes down to, really, who's mental breaks first

Love to see it/hear it. Survivors constantly use the excuse that killers need to care about them having fun, but i never, NEVER hear them saying that survivors need to care about killer fun. It's a PvP game, the fun of the PvP game is to fight each other and win. Casual matches and chill matches are for custom mode

Honestly ive really only played league and dbd in terms of toxic communities and i can say hands down no questions asked dbd is a million times worse than what league can offer at least in my experience.

I actually have gotten to the point where I'm primarily frustrated with survivors who give up on their first hook/down. I get it, it sucks when you get found and don't have a decent first chase. Why just give up though? Like, if me playing killer means I have to learn to adapt to situations, why is it survivors get a pass with "Oh, I don't like this killer, I'll just go next." Meanwhile the other 3 survivors are like, "Seriously?" I'm more sympathetic to the others who are left to either give up themselves or try and play out the match. No matter how you wanna have the "Fair vs fun" debate, survivor accountability needs to be a part of the discussion.

Its an L either way. Both mains are so far removed that to them the other side is the Devil. Both sides have their awfulness and the loud majority complaining is survivor because is a 4 to 1 complaints. I personally prefer killer over solo q any day. I dont think sabo or flashlight saves or any of that is wrong. But i feel the same way about tunneling or camping. You do what you got to do to win. The problem is the best way for you to have fun/win feels bad for the other side. True comes off biased in favor of the killers imo but its not like hes wrong exactly. Just only talks about that side of it.

Also I dont watch his livestreams often unless its Mk or something but most of his youtube videos are him bagging on survivors and how they have expectations for killers. Which again isnt wrong but if i only hear the one side from him it comes off biased.

@@kuppa391 I dont agree with that necessarily. I play survivor more. Alot of solo q and sometimes the two man swf. But i prefer killer. But I dont hate it when I play against a sabo flashlight squad. Or when i get tunneled out. I get it. Is it fun? Not particularly but its doesnt ruin anything for me. Only think that makes me want to unistall this game is the teammates i get when i solo q. Killer > SWF > Solo Q. But thats my opinion

I'll gladly explain why they didn't slow down (the survivors in the spirit game you payed) They are playing for their lives, if they go down and get hooked x amount of times, the game is over for them, and the fun stops. The killer is guaranteed to be part of the game, from start to finish, meaning that the killer doesn't face the same struggles as survivors. As a survivor main myself, I don't know exactly what a killer considers to be "fun" - I assume it's having some good chases and downing/hooking survivors, correct me if I'm wrong.

When I play killer I play to win. I dont care about the survivors fun. When I play survivor I play to win. I dont care about the killers fun. When I first started DBD I returned to hooks and used early downs to get 2nd stage hooks. When I was on my back foot I would camp someone out to try and get advantage back to my side. This just seemed like smart strategy. The issue is killers camp, or return to hook when there is no strategic imperative to do so. Survivors do the same shit too. Why are they going for flashlights when the game is basically over?

flashlight saves are actually my favorite thing to play around as killer. Either run lightborn and try to trick them into thinking you dont have it until end of match, position your pickups to make it hard to save and get the flashlighter out of position, mad grit build with the trickster expose perk, franklin's creating timed objectives that survivors are going to be buzzing around like flies. Love it. I also love Head On matches and trying to bait it while I'm chasing another survivor past the obvious locker.

I’ve been wanting a perk that says “Any survivor that crouches twice in under five seconds trips and has a 20% decrease in speed for five seconds. If they crouch twice or more while the gates are opened they immediately go into the dying state and whatever killer you’re playing gets the ability to crouch and to kill the survivor by your hand.” I’d call it “Teabag This, Bitch!!” Also a perk that makes a hit that puts a survivor into the dying state fall towards you instead of forward would be nice so when they get cocky and wait for me at the endgame they get a lovely surprise when I hit them and they find out they didn’t fall into victory. That would make me have a lot of fun.

I can’t lie. There’s few things as satisfying as seeing three survivors with flashlights out in the pregame lobby not knowing I made sure Hillbilly was one of my first prestiges. That is an amazing perk. It’s completely useless in a game with survivors that are doing gens but often is a game changer when I’m playing against someone determined to blind me. I don’t even bother trying to fake turn away. I look directly into the light laughing maniacally like “Yeah, you thought so didn’t you!” They don’t even usually learn their lesson. They usually try it again and again. That perk gets me harder than playing Trickster on mobile.

i personally think body blocking should be removed from the game don't even need to use up a perk or item slot to do it devs can easily add a mechanic that makes the killer ghost through survivors the extra life isn't needed they already have hook armor dead hard flashbang flashlights god pallets decisive strike body blocks just skilless pretty much and only a handful of killers can really deal with it well heck the the so called ghosting doesn't even need to be permanent just make it active when the game detects survivors next to each other in a chase will they do this NOO cause devs all apparently play survivor 🤭🤗☠

You can try to beat your opponent in Cod game, or tekken game, or counter strike game… i always give Survivour chance to win or get more bloodpoints, trust me i have tons of matches when i can finish a match in 10 or 12 minutes or even quicker but i always give them a little bit of chance to do something, DBD is not FPS game where u gotta WIN at all cost, its a fun game, i always play like this since this game came out in 2016, i do not understand people who are tunneling, slugging or camping hooks or hexes, like, if they gonna destroy u a hex totem its a bad luck, u play and maybe u can still win that, there should be more people with this mindset..

Every game has a winner and a loser and this game isn’t any different. If you don’t like losing, play better and stop complaining. Tryharding survivors and killers ruins casual players and vice versa. Killers should care about survivors fun and vice versa. Anyone had an issue playing killer where you get body blocked by nothing? Happened to me again last night when I was playing as Dracula. I would be walking somewhere and suddenly I can't move like I'm boxed in. Was really annoying especially during chases when I was close to getting a down but then got cockblocked by an invisible wall. It's cheaters right?

I know on a previous video you did, someone made a comment saying they don’t play anymore because they don’t find being hooked and tunneled fun, and he was fine with it, he understood it, the killer gotta do what he gotta do, and the same for the survivor. and thats fine! :) he knew the game wasn’t for him. If people can’t handle being tunnelled then the game isn’t for them. I like the game. When I know I’ve lost a chase I literally stop lol and I accept defeat. Some times the killer would be caught off guard because I did that and I’ll walk to the hook with them, and sometimes they won’t even kill me and let me get points which is nice of them.

You're acting like stream snipers are the average players for 99 percent of the playerbase 😂😂😂 thing is as a killer there is nothing a survivor can do to prevent you from playing, but killers can slug, camp and tunnel off hook to prevent them from playing. If there are flashlights you can still slug or chase someone else. But you can never prevent a killer from playing unless they're hacking or exploiting.

I hope it does die tbh and another game that has the same idea of killer vs survivor blows this game out the water. The developers of this game don’t deserve any of the success this game has gotten. The only reason that it is somewhat successful is because there is no other game like this as of yet. I can’t wait till there is one cause when that happens this game will die and I will cheer. Until then the devs will nerf one side over and over for the crybaby survivors to “have fun” ie favorable god pallets/perks/play styles while digging killers into a unescapable worthless stressful style of playing. I’m glad I quit this game the more I see the devs favor one side over and over.
