Go for it man. We love ours. Headed out this weekend and next weekend for sure in it. We use ours often in the winter too. The hardest part is figuring out truck payload/camper weight stuff. We have a 2500 GMC. My buddy put a 4wheel camper on his F150 and has 270k miles. Another friend has a Hallmark on a Tundra with an extra leaf in the rear.
