Look into kingpin lighting they are dimmable and are easy on your eyes I run their 40" light in my camper shell

those under-surface reinforcements could pay off in the future, you could put some cargo webbing over them for quick storage of small things you want to get to quickly. Love the whole build. Top notch.

As always, quality work sir. I really like the custom bracketing on here as well. The colors really look good together as well. I’m thinking the small amount of lift/ gap at the hinge end allowed for the top to give at its weak (unglued) area? Probably a good thing you went ahead and beefed all that up from underneath. Excellent job as always and thanks for taking the time to share with us!

I wish I was handy enough to do this sort of build I love it. how hard is it to learn to weld aluminum? would extruded aluminum be an alternative for us less capable folks or is not structural enough?

Extruded aluminum is a great alternative! I will say welding aluminum with a spool gun is just as easy as MiG welding steel. Don’t let it intimidate you, we are all capable of anything if we put our mind to it.
