Pretty impressive for first time build! Also the way you explain everything so thoroughly, should definitely encourage anyone looking to build their own camper. Nice work John

Thank you! I try my best to relay it clearly. It can be challenging to do, especially when I’m figuring things out as I go 😂 Hope you have been well!

Great job. Sewing is no easy task with all that fabric. You made it look easy ! Thanks for sharing everything so thoroughly. Can’t decide if I’ll do a camper or trailer first!

@@Adv4x4 it's making me want one ! Still loving that tune on my Tacoma, I've definitely gotten used to it. I'm gonna swap my spark plugs next and see if I want to step up to spicy or keep it as is. I'll keep you posted. 🤙

Followed your square drop trailer build and went for it. Posted my first video of it on YT. Thanks for the tips and man I’m glad I went steel and not wood.

Super Pacific has a velcro seam on their tent sides, so you should be good on that back seam 👌🏻

Looks great! I have a sewing machine and just haven't busted it out. I know once I get it dialed in to work it's a champ but that dialling in is intimidating!
@Adv4x4Ай бұрын
I thought the same thing! Was soooo much more simple then I was letting myself imagine it would be haha.

Well done! I think wax is a good idea but when it heats up it’ll leach into the fabric and over time it may discolor. Maybe a seam seal tape? Great build. Just finished my own when I found part 4 of your build series. I’ve enjoyed them all! Most of your ideas I also employed. I did do a headliner and there is still some condensation where the aluminum frame lives but it’s far less then drips just moist. Have fun.
@Adv4x4Ай бұрын
Yes very true about the wax! I’ll see how it does in the next rain & go from there. Awesome to hear you have already completed a build. It’s definitely a fun project!!

very helpful information on the fabric side of the project and details on the pop-up. Thanks! You might want to consider selling a basic set of plans. I think you have one of the best designs on youtube.
@Adv4x4Ай бұрын
Thank you! I do have a basic set of plans for the camper itself! Nothing on the fabric though! I figured the video may be thorough enough for someone to do that themselves!

Thanks for making these videos! I'm scoping out a nearly identical build and was curious where your overall budget end up at?
@mauriciogonzalez6302Ай бұрын
Wow! This series gets better and better. What do you learn to do all this? What’s your background?
@Adv4x4Ай бұрын
Thank you! I’m an auto mechanic by trade. I just learn this other stuff as I go! So many resources online to learn new skills these days!

Great videos! I might have to give something like this a try. Sorry if i missed the explanation but why did you put rivets through the velcro for the the canvas?
