I completely agree with one of your commenters, the editing/music of your videos make them such a pleasure to watch! I appreciate that you don’t throw in any gimmicky effects, just makes for a lovely flow of content. It’s also so enjoyable to have you both telling your stories. Always crossing my fingers for Cody to catch a big one, too! 😊

All of your adventures are great! The best ones are when you are here, at home, in Arkansas. YOU are just better here because you love being on home ground. That is what I believe. The thing with the fan and the blinds being lowered is called The Venturi Effect. When the window opening is narrowed, the air speeds up as it comes in. It also cools as it speeds up. When I was very young we did not have AC. We had an attic fan. We would lower the windows to about 3 or 4 inches with the fan on and it would cool the house to a very comfortable level on a hot day and would make you grab a blanket at night!!!! Thanks for another great video done in Arkansas!!!!!

We stayed at a cabin near Jasper, Arkansas and we were awake the next morning about to get up when we clearly heard and felt heavy footsteps directly under our upstairs bedroom. We heard the steps cross the room to the stairs leading to our room. The floors were thin and creaky and walking made noise on them. I jumped out of bed and yelled down the stairs thinking it was probably the owner who had thought we had already checked out. I got no reply. Threw on my clothes and went downstairs. It was just two rooms, empty, all the windows and doors still locked. No tracks on the dew covered grass around the cabin. We never figured out who made the noise we heard. The cabin sits in the middle of a 25 acre field. Nobody in sight.

It just happened again in New Mexico . Ford trucks go thru fob batteries about every 2 years

Sometimes mice or rats get up in the engine and hit sensors I believe and cause the truck security alarm to go off. Great video. That looks like a peaceful place to camp. You are one lucky man to have a wife, who can cook in the outdoors. My wife cooks great in the house, but likes me to cook the main entrée on a fire, griddle or grill.

I’ve heard that if you lock the doors using the inside lock on the door before you close the door instead for using key fob to lock it, the alarm system thinks someone is still inside the vehicle and the alarm won’t sound due to any movement inside the truck or the truck bed. Of course the alarm will sound if the door, hood, glass, etc is breached. It’s worth a try if you continue to have this isse.

Starting from Los Angeles on I-15 over Las Vegas to Saint George, Utah. From there on I-80 across Colorado then Nebraska all on I-80 till we ran North om I-29 in Iowa, to Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Did a 30 person family reunion for 2 days. This being the end of July, 2024 the temperature was never below 94 degrees. Plain miserably hot all the way there and back. Drove over 3200 miles with motel stops at night. We had a great vehicle with the best A/C and also in the motels. Another road trip in 3 weeks. Los Angeles to Happy Camp, Calif. w/camper 8/17 to ?

Hey guys, love your content. My wife and I just got back from doing two months in our truck camper. We have 2019 f350 diesel. Same color as yours. We had alarm go off same as you on this trip. After searching online. We think it was caused by large bugs that got trapped in the cab after we locked it up. It set off the alarm twice that night. It was a big moth. But I also switched the alarm sensor to perimeter. That stopped it from going of again. Oh yeah I also got the moth out. Lol

I love the outdoors. I loved tent camping until I hit my 60’s then I found it to hard to sleep on the ground. I also couldn’t sleep well on a cot. Now We are looking at getting an RV to travel in. Our plan isn’t to live in the RV only to sleep in it and for bad weather. Otherwise we want to want to spend as much time outdoors as possible.

We were actually gonna head out Saturday and try to snag this spot!!! If you cross that low water bridge and follow the creek another 100yrds or so there’s a bigger swimming hole tucked in the woods. there’s another great spot towards Forked Mountain right where the bridge is but it gets overgrown this time of year.

Nice place. Tranquil and away from passers bye. About the truck alarm, I've had it happen to one of my vehicles. It was a faulty sensor that would intermittently fail , which is hard to diagnose.there are sensors under the hood and in the doors that can go bad. It seems unlikely with such a new vehicle, but look on the interwebs to see if someone else has had the same problem. If it's still under warranty, ask the dealer about it. I hope this helps. You guys are great. Thank you for sharing your wonderful lives with us!

The Alarm Situation: happens to me from time to time. It’s likely an insect in the cab. Fords have a sensitive internal motion detector so if an insect flies close to it inside the cab it trips the alarm.

I was going to say the same thing. We have had crazy moths the last few weeks. My wife freaked out because she noticed on the app, the alarm on our Ford truck had gone off multiple times during the night. We checked the truck, nothing. I researched, and bugs came up. I told my wife, and she said moths flew out when she opened the back door.

A buddy and I worked together on midnights years ago. One night his wife called him and chewed him out. When he had left for work, his wife was asleep on the couch and when he set the alarm he accidentally set the motion alarm as well as the doors/ window. So, in the middle of the night when she woke up and stumbled down the hallway half asleep towards their bedroom, she set off the motion alarm and then panicked thinking someone was trying to break in. lol
