This week's video was fun for me. My daughter's graduation ceremony was Friday night, so I was unable to head out after work like normal. I woke up Saturday Morning and realized that I had no plans for a video. After scratching my head trying to think of a good one-night road trip, I remembered we have a lost forest in northern Minnesota. Its name is the lost 40.
In the late 1800's the four-man crew surveying the land for lumber production had overlooked the piece of ground. It sat untouched because it was surveyed as part of a swap. Once the oversight was recognized the old growth forest was protected.
Thankfully I found a campsite close by. It was an old site that is not listed anywhere other than my On-X hunting app. The site sits on Glove Lake, and I had plans to hook into some big fish, unfortunately a couple Bevers had other plans. I had mostly good weather, but a small rainout in the afternoon. Thankfully I experienced a beautiful evening walking the bank of the lake.
The campsite was extremely unlevel. There is no way a trailer would work at this location; a van would also have a hard time getting level. I used my camper jacks to lift the rear of the Arctic Fox over a foot which made the spot ok for sleeping.
I have not explored this part of Minnesota as much as I should. I will definitely be back. This state never lets me down.
If you made it this far think about turning on the notification bell for my videos. I see less then 5% of people have notifications set for the channel. If you enjoy the videos think about giving it a thumbs up. It helps with keeping KZbin presenting my videos to new viewers. The amount of people KZbin showing my videos has dropped about 100,000 impressions month. This is causing a real drop in new viewers. I use the KZbin income "about 150 bucks a month" to pay for my editing subscription and royalty free music fees. The left over 100 bucks goes into the fuel tank. Unfortunately, just the fuel cost to produce videos averages $1200 per month, it would be nice to collect a few more dollars from KZbin. The more times I can show up on someone's home feed the better my chances are at earning a new subscriber. With that being said I really appreciate the thumbs up and comments, it helps with the algorithm.
Thanks for coming along on this little adventure. I'll see you down the road.

I caught it on audio....but the volume level wasn't any good. I cut out the part where I talked about it being Bigfoot. I worked with a guy who swears up and down that a Bigfoot threw small rocks at him while in the woods close to home. Eventually he was forced to leave the woods, he was hunting Morels.

Funny, but I just spent the day here n there researching cellular boosters. Key diff, Vehicle/mobile boosters are limited on gain to 50db government regulated because they are expected to be used while moving, verses a home stationary cellular booster that is allowed to be stronger in range. Then there’s the different antennas. Directional goes farther vs omnidirectional. So I read if gonna use it when stopped vs when moving, then go for a non mobile booster n directional antenna for the best range. But then remember too home booster uses AC plug vs mobile uses DC 12v car plug. …..lol, yeah I know 🙄 🤪. 🍻

I thought if I spent 3 or 4 hours on the ice, I'd actually catch something... but it wasn't my day. I do fish often on the channel. @@KennyOfAllTrades Bigfoots do a loud whoop whoop ! - or wood knocking on trees to locate others (like dogs barking and birds cawing). When a Bigfoot is nearby or they contact you they will quietly whistle, or a low whoop ( who are you ?) or a loud whoop (WTFRU - my territory - unsure of you !). There are known harmonics of predators their growls have a sonic frequency that stuns the prey's nervous system - or animals can sonar/radar people for stunning, scaring, freezing in fear, or testing them for their attitude. So if you felt low tones, rumbles, like alligators rumbling in the swamps, or elephants low sounds that travel miles and heard by other elephants, you were being probed. Be glad that Miss BIgfoot didn't come over for some dancing and party time ! - or big brother coming over for some BOHICA on you !

I plan to go to some of the places you have camped.. I too live in Minnesota☺️. I'm commenting on this particular camping trip on the lost 40. You made a comment about hearing a gutteral whoop sound. Question, have you ever in your travels in the northern woods ever had an encounter with Sasquatch? Sorry to hear about your recent losses with the drones.

I had just finished flying the drone. I was looking around at dispersed sites to see if anyone else was using the part of the forest I was in. I didn't see anyone else in the forest. Out of nowhere, 2 small pebbles were thrown at me. They did not hit me but bounced off the ground in front of me. I was 50 yards from the tree line. I didn't hear anything in the tree line.

That's a great question. I've had some medical training as a first responder for 10 years. I carry a medical kit and try not to put myself in super sketchy situations, but there are times when having another along person would help. Thanks for checking out the adventures, I'm glad you enjoy the channel. I appreciate all your comments on the videos.

The more stories I've heard, the more I think there is something going on between Northhome and Remer Minnesota. There's been a lot of strange experiences in those woods.

Say Kenny those beaver may have Rabies. There a KZbin called Aquachigger the episode is Danger on the Potomac attacked by a rabid Beaver. Be careful out there. Ya never know. Also there is a Garmin In reach Satellite unit that does two way texting and has an emergency SOS that sends your location to local rescue. Different packages available with weather info. Also you can stop service for a while and restart. Here's another one that's good. KZbin, Mobile internet resource center. Also I seen Tesla now has mobile internet now for RV. From Mobile internet resource center 4 weeks ago episode Starlink for RVs & Boats. Could use it at home and away. Could be used for weather and communication in the boonies. We also been in Minnesota. Love it. We have a 2003 Bigfoot truck camper sitting on a 2001 Chevy 3500 dually 4x4 ext cab 4 door. Tons of mods Only got 63000 miles on it so still like new. We leave the Bigfoot on all the time. Tons of modifications re-did all electrical wiring. Led lights in and out. Remodel inside. We added a engine heat hydroponics to the camper to heat camper while driving. We frequently travel to Rhinelander Wisconsin in winter and during the trip the camper gets 85 to 90 degrees. You have to open windows to let it cool off. But no propane is needed camper stays warm all night.. We also pick up Emicro driveway alarms you showed on your video thanks they work great. You should start a Amazon link and make a few bucks off items you use. I would buy stuff from your links. Help pay for fuels. I would like to get that rear camera mirror that's cool. We live in Illinois unfortunately. Grandparents lived in Rhinelander. That was my summer home when growing up. Unfortunately I was to young and stupid to understand when my Grandparents were getting to old to live the winter's up there how tuff it can be. I slept in 40 degrees below 0 in a house that only used wood for heat and someone had to keep that fire going to stay warm. They moved to Florida and long passed on. We would love to move up there. We also go to the Porkeys in UP and The Copper areas. Been on Gun Flint Trail went to the end. Tried to drive to the portage the upper falls the road got really wash board and was rocky, Picked up 6 tires full of rocks so bad that the tires were out of balance. Had to pop rocks out of tire before hitting highway speeds. Fun. Some real Historical stuff up there. Logging, Mining. Been to Split Rock. Cool love it. Thanks Keep up the videos love them. Joe and Sandy

Something made a "whoop" noise that was so deep it made my insides vibrate. It only happened a couple times. It wasn't really loud, Just a really low frequency that seemed to travel right through me. It was odd. That was such a beautiful spot. It definitely dosent see much use. I'll be going back!

I'm not sure either. I'm the type of person that has to see it to believe it. I lived in north central Minnesota my entire life. Ive never seen anything that would prove Bigfoot exist, but I've herd some really convincing stories from credible people. My dad enjoyed watching Bigfoot shows. Seeing things like the bent tree reminds me of him. That's probably why I recognize that stuff. It brings back good memories of my dad.

Agreed, you can tell by the number of car kill deer in our area that the population is getting high. Makes me wonder if low tag number also contributes to the spread of chronic wasting Disease. There's no where near the amount of hunters up here compared to 20 years ago.
