I know blues feeling icky is probably done and over & doing fine. But here's some thoughts as to why he puked. He went from winter (you sure left at a good time, we got major snow storms in Wisconsin/Michigan this past few days!) To hot humid! He ate and then ran and exercised, which I'm sure brought on over heating and getting a upset tummy. Even after resting he was panting. Being double coated he is still wearing his winter coat, and the change in environment will take time. I always check my dogs gums if they have puked. If they are pale or white they are sick, if they are pink or reddish don't be as worried.

Poor blue. Just a suggestion. I would change up balls depending on the types of soil your at because it looks like he ate a lot of sand with the tennis ball. Also when dogs get over heated it's best if you wait to give them water or food until they cool down. This should help with them not getting sick.

When we lived in SC we took my grandson to Folly Brach near Charleston. We told him he could stay in thr water as long as he wanted to.We were watching him and about 50 feet behind him was a dorsal fin . We signaled for him to come in . He did, but asked us why just as we saw the dorsal fin once again.

Welcome to Louisiana, Maria. 👋 The mosquito is our state bird, lmao. If you think the humidity is awful now, come back in July or August when the temps are well into the 90’s. Our area of The Gulf is pretty shallow, too, so tons of sand, silt, and even mud swirling in that surf. This isn’t the most comfortable state for camping, imo.

Hey Maria here’s a tip to help keep you cooler at night while sleeping. Get yourself a lightweight cooling blanket ( not he weighted blanket kind).I got mine from Amazon and the one I have is double sided. (Spring/fall ;summer). I don’t have central air and just rely on fans and this blanket. Ps… my cats love lounging on it and they fold up real small , great when you have limited space.

Mosquitoes are attracted to light. Turn off your inside light anytime you have to open the door. At the same time, have your fan blowing outward, they are very weak flyers. Fans are one of the best things to keep mosquitoes away. Also, Blue may have ingested some sand from playing with the ball, could def upset his stomach. Be safe and enjoy! ☮️❤️😎

Yeah, I would move the books asap. In college I stored some books on a bookcase and had a fish tank on the shelf above it. I went home for the weekend and my friend in the dorms came over and fed the fish for me and said she noticed that the water kept going down and so she kept filling it back up. She never bothered to check the tank but there was small hairline crack that slowly leaked all over my books under it. The was the last time I EVER stored books anywhere near water. Lol.

MANY rivers empty into the Gulf. I now live in Round Rock, TX (since 2011) (@ 15 minutes north of Austin) but grew up in Lake Jackson, TX……about 8ish miles from the gulf. Surfside beach. The rivers are what give the gulf its color. Boat a few miles off the coast and see some of the most beautiful water you’ll ever see. I’m a 76 yr. old MeeMaw and have been watching your and Blue’s (my grandson’s name is Blue🥰) adventures living vicariously through you and your “child”. Thank you. I don’t get to go on adventures much anymore. LOVE the vistas!!! More please!! Give Blue a kiss for me. 🥰

After living in Texas in the summer with broken A/C, and having to walk a mile to work each day. I never want to move back into that humidity ever again. Forget about cooling down in the shade. Funny story. My sister found a parking spot under a tree in the shade when she first moved down there, and thought how lucky she was to find such a perfect parking spot. When she came out, it was completely covered in bird poo. When I lived there, these beetle like bugs were everywhere at night, but completely gone during the day. Since they went for any light they could see forget about leaving your porch light on, unless you don't use that door. The only bugs I dug were the fireflies we had a view from our porch. I am glad I got out of there. I've lived in several states, but none compare to home (Utah).

Just be careful. Sand can get wet. You might go to sleep on sand, wake up surrounded by water. Seen other cars and vans floated away by water. Check those things out before you park on any sand. Aww hope the pup gets better. Yes sand and the heat will cause him to throw up and get diarrhea. I do the same thing in really hot humid areas. Great idea to explore the beaches. Just be careful lots of different problems on the beach we are not used to if not living there. Live and learn hopefully before you get into a real problem. Maybe go onto websites and research not so good things to look out for before going to different areas of the country. Bummer, but better to be prepared. Love Po, what a great vehicle. After you leave the beach get a good car wash under as well as above to get the sand off. Lots of corrosion. Lived at ocean city, Maryland for four months. Back in Pa about a couple of years later found my brakes corroded from the salt water in the air. Was a new car the day I went down there. Brakes should not have gone bad like they did. Mechanic knew right away asked me if I had lived by the beach. Good travels and God Bless you and beautiful Blue.
